Job Description

The Payables Executive will efficiently process high-volume invoices, ensure proper authorization and accurate coding, create supplier records, handle bank postings and reconciliations, collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues, and prepare and process payment runs. Responsibilities also include performing account payable reconciliations, following standard operating procedures, contributing to the month-end closing process, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable and proficiency in software such as Microsoft Business Central. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.

In Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Payables Executive to join our accounting team. This is a key role to support and strengthen the accounting function and offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a proactive attitude and a keen eye for detail to contribute to the success of our organisation.

 

Your day to day:

  • Efficiently process a high volume of invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring appropriate level of authorization and accurate general ledger/cost centre coding 
  • Creating supplier records in the accounting software. 
  • Bank Postings and reconciliations.
  • Work collaboratively with various suppliers to address and resolve any issues.
  • Prepare and process payment runs, adhering to payment terms and schedules and monitor payment deadlines. 
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts payable transactions to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Follow company’s standard operating procedures in conjunction with processing payables data.
  • Contribute to the month-end closing process by providing accurate and timely information related to accounts payable.

 

What we are looking for:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payables.
  • Proficiency in using software such as Microsoft Business Central and invoice approval systems, would be considered an asset.
  • Have advanced working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft applications. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Being proactive, ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
