The Position:

As a Project Manager, Business Development, you will be a primary contact for our partners once deals are completed. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that contractual obligations are met, operational workflows are optimized, processes are implemented (with corresponding tools/systems) and relationships with partners remain in good standing. You will work with our teams—including marketing, brand, comms, community impact, product/engineering, video, legal, operations, advertising, and counterparts at DICK'S Sporting Goods —to guide successful outcomes for our partnerships. You will report to our Director of Partnerships.

What You'll Do:

  • Post-Deal Execution Management: Manage all logistics of partnership agreements, ensuring all obligations and deliverables are met.

  • Formal Process Implementation: Manage the implementation of a formalized cross-team workflow process for contract databasing and project management tools.

  • Partner Relationship Management: Serve as a daily contact for our partners, addressing any operational needs, resolving issues, and promoting long-term collaboration.

  • Contract Compliance & Tracking: Ensure that all contractual commitments are followed, maintaining detailed records.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with our teams (e.g., marketing, brand, comms, impact, product/engineering, video, legal, operations, advertising, and counterparts at DICK'S Sporting Goods) to agree on partnership-related projects and ensure seamless execution.

  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track important performance metrics, provide regular updates to leadership, and identify opportunities for process improvements.

  • Issue Resolution & Risk Management: Identify and address potential challenges that may affect the success of the partnership.

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, partnerships, business development, or a related field within a tech, sports, or hardware-focused industry.

  • Experience managing post-deal execution for partnerships, ensuring contract obligations are met and operations run smoothly.

  • Direct experience handling contractual obligations, including tracking deliverables, coordinating approvals, and ensuring compliance with legal terms.

  • Experience managing external partner relationships, serving as a primary contact and resolving operational challenges.

  • Cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working with marketing, legal, product, and operations teams to implement partnership projects.

  • Experience using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Shortcut, Trello, or Monday.com) to track deliverables.

  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for partner tracking and reporting.

  • Flexible and solution-minded with the ability to analyze situations in real-time to suggest routes forward to best address problems.

Perks:

  • Work remotely throughout the US* or from our well-furnished, modern office in Manhattan, NY.

  • Unlimited vacation policy.

  • Paid volunteer opportunities.

  • Technology stipend - $4,000 every 2 years after your start to make sure you have the latest and greatest technology

  • WFH stipend - $500 annually to make your WFH situation comfortable.

  • Learning stipend - $500 annually towards continued development

  • Monthly physical, mental, wellness & learning stipend offered through Holisticly

  • Monthly lifestyle stipend offered through Fringe

  • Full health benefits - medical, dental, vision, prescription, FSA, HRA, HSA, and coverage for family/dependents.

  • Retirement savings - Traditional and Roth 401K plans are offered through Vanguard, with an immediate company match.

  • Life insurance - basic life, supplemental life, and dependent life.

  • Disability leave - short-term disability and long-term disability.

  • Company paid parental leave - up to 20 weeks for birthing parents and up to 12 weeks for non-birthing parents.
