Job Description

As a Development QA Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of games developed by BKOM Studios, with a primary focus on PC platforms while also contributing to console. You will collaborate with development teams, reporting to the QA Project Manager and the Director of QA. Your duties involve creating and executing test plans, identifying and managing bugs, and supporting the delivery of a top-tier user experience. You will also attend Scrum meetings, generate detailed test reports, and help maintain QA documentation. This is a contractual, 1-year position.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of QA experience in the video game industry
  • Strong understanding of game development pipelines, focusing on PC
  • Proficient with QA tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Testrail
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English and French is essential

Job Details

As a Development QA Analyst – Contractual (1-year position), you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality of games developed by BKOM Studios, with a primary focus on PC platforms, while also contributing to console.

You will work closely with the development teams and report directly to the QA Project Manager and the Director of QA. Your responsibilities will include executing test plans, identifying and managing bugs, and supporting the delivery of a top-tier user experience.


  • Participate in creating test plans for current projects;
  • Execute test plans and routines (e.g., smoke tests, regression, sprint validation);
  • Identify, document, assign, and track bugs, and verify their resolution;
  • Work on multiple projects in parallel in an agile environment;
  • Attend Scrum meetings with development teams;
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with project managers;
  • Generate detailed test reports to share progress and outcomes;
  • Meet tight deadlines and deliver consistent quality;
  • Help maintain QA documentation and process standards.


Requirements


  • Legally eligible to work in Canada;
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in QA within the video game industry;
  • Strong understanding of game development pipelines with a focus on PC, and some exposure to console;
  • Proficient with QA tools like JIRA, Confluence, Testrail or equivalent;
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong attention to detail, autonomy, and adaptability;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and constructively, both written and verbal;
  • Fluency in French, spoken and written;
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential for communication with an external English-speaking client;
  • Familiarity with technical testing metrics (e.g., performance, network load) is an asset;
  • Experience using AI tools for testing is a plus.
