Summary

As a ServiceNow Developer at Version 1, you will be primarily working with Version 1 customers and their ServiceNow instances. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the ServiceNow instance and architecture, addressing incidents and requests, automating application logic, creating and managing workflows, designing and maintaining the Service Catalog, building and enhancing UI components, writing and maintaining scripts, integrating ServiceNow with other systems, developing and customizing the ServiceNow Portal, securing applications and data, and ensuring seamless data flow.

Job Description

  • Predominantly working with Version 1 Customers and the ServiceNow instance(s) we are managing on their behalf;
  • To be conversant with the ServiceNow instance and architecture of the environment
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of configurations, customizations, and processes
  • Addressing incidents, requests and platform enhancements as reported by Customers • Ensure the ServiceNow platform is up to date by applying patches and performing version upgrades
  • Automate application logic using workflow, scheduled script executions, and inbound and outbound email
  • Create and manage workflows, including flow designer, to automate business processes • Design and maintain the Service Catalogue, including defining and configuring items, order guides, and workflows
  • Build and enhance UI components, including forms, lists, and UI pages • Write and maintain scripts (JavaScript, GlideScript) for various ServiceNow components such as business rules, client scripts, and UI policies
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other systems and applications, ensuring data flows seamlessly
  • Develop and customize the ServiceNow Portal and ServiceNow applications in line with the needs of the Customer
  • Secure applications and data against access by unauthorized users and applications, employing best practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands-on ServiceNow Development experience
  • Proven track record of improving processes and effectiveness through automation • Strong understanding of IT service management and the ITIL framework
  • Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating with Customers, team members and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments • At least 2 of the following certifications;
  • Certified System Administrator
  • Certified Application Developer
  • Implementation Specialist (Customer Service Management)
  • Implementation Specialist (Service Mapping)
  • Implementation Specialist (Discovery)
  • Implementation Specialist (IT Service Management)

Please note successful candidates must currently have or be able to obtain UK SC Clearance.
