Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience in building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks).
- 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
- Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in developer tooling and infrastructure, building tools and testing frameworks, test-motivated development, build infrastructure, optimizing software or debugging.
- Experience with coding in Java/Kotlin, Swift, Python.
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.

- Develop and maintain tools and infrastructure software to support testing efforts and to improve the testability of the product and systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and work across full-stack (e.g., client, server, device) to align on strategies, and develop tooling and automation to improve product quality.
- Impact the productivity of engineers working in the Fitbit Mobile App landscape by providing tools, processes and guidance for improving app testability and writing automated test cases.
- Work with test engineers inside Engineering Productivity to understand the automation needs for certain features and build the appropriate infrastructure.
