SQL Database Engineer II - Customer Success Professional Services

This position is responsible for providing highly technical service-level support, project management, installation, upgrades, and custom software solutions for OASIS accounting, and slot management systems. This person must be goal-oriented, a self-starter, and self-motivated with high energy levels. You will be part of a technical team responsible for upgrading, installing, supporting, troubleshooting, and resolving complex problems with data integrity, services, and application functionality, ATI game software and hardware, and SQL server either remotely or on-site. This role regularly works with the development team and third-party partners when necessary to ensure the needs of the customers are met in the released product. You will have extra skill sets that will help upskill other team members in new technology methodologies while being at the forefront of new Oasis products.

What You'll Do

• Develops, tests, debug, extracts, and implements all data conversions for new and existing Oasis customers

• Manages the technical process of new installations and upgrades of the Oasis Product including services and applications at customer locations from server setup to services installations that run the backend of the Casino systems.

• Monitors the performance, scalability, security, and integration to resolve problems.

• Design, update, and implement custom SQL Maintenance Plan using SQL Server Agent and Transact SQL.

• Knowledge of both Windows-based servers and Linux

• Troubleshoot while at the customer location and remotely.

• Assist R&D, Q&A, and Business Analysts in testing the specifications with new releases and applications.

• Ensures that the organization consistently delivers superior technical solutions to clients

• Document and distribute upgrade/install processes and new Oasis Products and applications.

• All other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or its equivalent.

• Minimum of 4-7 years of experience with database platforms (i.e. Postgresql, MySQL, Oracle, DB2, MSSQL).

• Possesses significant knowledge of complex databases and object-oriented concepts.

• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a related technical service and support role, casino operations. Oasis software is preferred.

• SQL and Server troubleshooting including solid SQL coding

• Travel up to 70%

• Working knowledge of Windows servers, services, and IIS

• Minimum of 1-3 experience with Linux including Debian and Ubuntu

• Knowledge of Grafana, Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins and RabbitMQ

• Ability to prioritize and plan work activities including training and advancing job skills, including completing professional training courses or industry certifications when applicable.

• Must be willing to work extended hours and on variable work shifts and be able to Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb, Bend, Reach, Talk, and Hear for long periods.

Pay Range

$75,922 - $140,998 per year

Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
