Available locations: This position is open to candidates in Brazil and India (Bengaluru, Chennai & Pune).
Responsibilities:
- Design software using probabilistic estimation theory and machine learning.
- Implement software in C++ and/or machine learning frameworks with unit testing and continuous integration.
- Maintain and improve existing software and evaluate it using simulation tools.
- Own and manage perception components, acting as a reference expert in key technical areas.
- Collaborate with team leads to set direction and influence perception sensor requirements and software architecture.
- Contribute to data requirements, collection, and processing for perception components.
- Improve software development processes for quality and efficiency.
- Work across teams to influence and drive technical and organizational improvements.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in C++ or Python, with familiarity in the other.
- Experience developing production software and knowledge of software engineering fundamentals.
- Practical experience with probabilistic estimation (e.g., Kalman Filter, Particle Filter) or deep learning (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Proven leadership in successful projects and ability to build technical consensus.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and influence change.
