Job Description

This is a paid internship opportunity with Google Public Sector for a 12-14 week period. You will be part of the sales team and focus on identifying, qualifying, and nurturing Google Cloud computing opportunities for public sector clients. You will gain valuable insights into the application of Google Cloud solutions in addressing digital transformation challenges within government and educational institutions. The internship offers professional and personal development opportunities, including an executive speaker series and community-building events. You will work on market research and analysis, contribute to go-to-market strategies for Google Cloud solutions, assist in creating sales and marketing materials, and participate in customer meetings and engagements.
Must have:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or post secondary or training experience with a focus on subjects in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related fields.
  • Experience in cloud computing technologies in the public sector.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and develop actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Interest in the public sector or technology industry.
Good to have:
  • Currently attending a degree program in the US and available to work full time for 12-14 weeks outside of university term time.
  • Penultimate academic year or returning to a degree program after completion of the internship.

Minimum qualifications:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000-$109,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and analysis: Analyze trends in federal civilian agencies' cloud adoption, identify key decision-makers and influencers, and assess competitive landscapes. 
  • Support the development of go-to-market strategies: Contribute to creating and refining strategies for specific Google Cloud solutions targeted at federal civilian agencies, considering their unique needs and challenges. 
  • Assist in the creation of sales and marketing materials: Develop presentations, white papers, or other collateral that effectively communicate the value proposition of Google Cloud to federal civilian agencies. 
  • Participate in customer meetings and engagements: Shadow business development managers in meetings with federal civilian agencies to understand customer needs and contribute to solution development.
