Job Details

System Era, the makers of the video game Astroneer, are looking for an enthusiastic full-time Studio Coordinator who is passionate about creating a welcoming, creative, organized, and efficient studio environment for a medium size hybrid team. In this role, you are excited to wear multiple operational “hats,” always willing to take on a challenge and learn something new. Your day begins with brewing coffee and stocking the kitchen with snacks and wraps up with tidying and resetting the space. In between, you are typing up a catering budget in Excel or creating signage for an event in Word.  You possess the initiative and problem-solving skills to work independently, and the pro-active communication skills to work collaboratively as part of a team.

To this aim, your strongest skills are your ability to work towards sustainable excellence, implement critical thinking skills, and bring a positive approach to building community.  From leveling-up snack presentations to refining organizational systems, you enjoy improving on things, developing your own “makers mark”. This role must feel comfortable working collaboratively both in tandem with and in support of their direct supervisor, the Associate Operations Director and the COO. Together, the operations team works together to foster an environment where creative people can truly thrive.

About The Company

Independent game developer based in Seattle, Washington currently working on ASTRONEER.

ASTRONEER places players in a 25th century gold rush where they explore the frontiers of outer space, risking their lives and resources in harsh environments for the chance of striking it rich. Resources extracted from planets, asteroids, and moons can be traded with friends or crafted into new tools, vehicles, and modules. Environments are procedurally generated in a uniquely rendered voxel engine, featuring a textureless aesthetic that allows players to deform and shape the terrain as though it were made of Play-Doh.
