Tax Compliance
· Meet all Canadian and provincial requirements (mostly QC and ON) for corporate and sales taxes
· Calculation of the tax provision for monthly and annual financial reports (actual, annual budget and forecast), ensuring the accuracy of tax reports for local finances as well as corporate reports, in close collaboration with the Finance Director and the Group Tax Director.
· Responsible for the completion and submission of monthly and annual tax returns and reports.
· Ensure all filing requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.
· Ensure that the relevant documentation is completed and that procedures are in place to ensure compliance with local regulations as well as Publicis Groupe policies
· Monitoring and justification of deferred taxes of the Canadian entities
· Verification of withholding taxes (WHT) of foreign transactions
· Manage the various investment tax credit files
· Train and educate colleagues from all departments (advertising agencies and SSC) on tax issues and share best practices
Tax Audits
· Coordinate and proactively prepare the documentation required for the various audits;
· Manage tax audits, gather relevant data
· Coordinate and review the company's responses to tax auditors' information requests and notices of proposed adjustments to ensure accuracy and completeness
Other Issues
· Drafting of procedures and modus operandi for tax declarations.
· Maintain an internal control framework
· Participate in the production of various tax reports or information required by the various provincial or federal authorities (Statistics Canada, Environment Canada and others)
Integration of Acquired Companies
. CPA Designation – Essential
. Bachelor’s degree in Administration-Accounting
. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar function
. Perfect command of French and English (written and oral)
. Solid knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
. Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) tools
At Re: Sources, the Tax Analyst works within the Finance team and reports to the Finance Director. They must be a business partner who works within our organization, has frequent contact with the various internal departments. They are in constant contact with our customers, to whom he must be attentive to issues, sometimes very diverse.
