Sloclap, an independent game studio in Paris, is seeking a Senior UI Designer for their upcoming game, Rematch. The role involves designing, integrating, and debugging game interfaces using Unreal Engine, Blueprints, and UMG. The ideal candidate will have confirmed experience in these areas, strong communication skills, and the ability to maintain artistic consistency. Must have:
  • Design and integrate game interfaces for Rematch.
  • Resolve bugs related to game interfaces.
  • Conceive attractive, intuitive, and ergonomic UI, wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.
  • Integrate UI assets and logic into Unreal Engine via Blueprint and UMG viewmodel.
  • Maintain uniform and consistent artistic style for the project.
  • Communicate effectively with production, game design, artists, and testers.
  • Proficiency in Unreal Engine, Blueprints, and UMG.
  • Knowledge of Common UI and UMG Viewmodel plugins.
  • Autonomous in task management.
  • Able to integrate feedback constructively.
  • Effective team collaboration.

Job Details

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Senior UI Designer for Rematch whose main missions will be to design and integrate game interfaces and resolve bugs related to them. You will be supervised by the Lead UI/UX Artist.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Design attractive, intuitive, and ergonomic user interfaces, wireframes, prototypes, and user flows, as needed.
  • Integrate assets and the logic of these interfaces into Unreal Engine via blueprint and UMG viewmodel
  • Maintain a uniform and consistent artistic style throughout the project to respect the artistic direction.
  • Interact and communicate effectively with all trades involved in the project (Production, Game design, Artists, Testers, etc.).

SOUGHT PROFILE

We are looking for the following skills:

  • Confirmed experience on Unreal Engine, with good mastery of Blueprints and the user interface via UMG.
  • Knowledge of Common UI and UMG Viewmodel plugins.
  • Autonomy in task management, ability to constructively integrate feedback, and to collaborate effectively within a team.

The following skills are appreciated:

  • Sensitivity to UI/UX challenges of an online multiplayer game with live content.
  • Motion Design.

It is not necessary to meet all criteria to apply. Career change paths are also accepted.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Position available on permanent contract (CDI) as soon as possible.

Remuneration takes into account the SNJV barometer and our internal salary grids.

Teleworking is possible two days a week (fixed days for the whole team), it is not mandatory. Therefore, you must live within a reasonable radius around the Studio so as not to spend your life in transport.

Our renovated premises with a large terrace are located in the 12th arrondissement of Paris.
