The Account Executive at IGN is responsible for sales planning, including media plans and RFP responses. This role requires collaboration with the sales team to achieve revenue goals, active participation in RFP submissions, and acting as a trusted resource for clients and agencies. Responsibilities include crafting proposals, communicating IGN's value, selling multi-platform solutions (display/video ads, native apps, social media), providing marketing campaign recommendations, and managing the RFP pipeline. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office, data analysis, and various marketing tools, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The role also involves supervising Sales Coordinators and staying updated on industry trends.

Do you like making connections, working with people, and thrive in a fast paced environment?  Come join IGN as an Account Executive!  We are looking for someone to join our sales team who loves media planning, creating awesome campaigns, and working cross-departmentally to deliver results.

Job Responsibilities:
  • The Account Executive position is responsible for sales planning responsibilities including building media plans (excel) and RFP (request for proposal) response decks. 
  • Support your Manager/Director to help your sales team hit or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
  • Play an active role in RFP submissions - for example: participating in brainstorms with the Creative Solutions group and crafting proposal decks to position IGN media capabilities in the marketplace.
  • Act as a trusted resource for your partners (agencies and clients) by recommending and putting together proposals that meet their marketing objectives and needs.
  • Effectively communicate, author presentations/proposals, and demonstrate value of IGN to partners.
  • Sell multi-platform solutions including: Desktop/Mobile Display/Video Ads, Native Apps, OTT, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, Data & Programmatic.
  • Provide comprehensive marketing campaign recommendations leveraging integrated sponsorships, digital video, social and efficiency media tactics.
  • Track and manage RFP pipeline, pending, and booked business and be able to speak to the current volume of team revenue.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and evolve with the ever changing digital landscape, including learning how to sell and position new products and platforms.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with departments and key stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines, while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Act as an expert in the gaming and entertainment space by staying current with industry trends.
  • Actively train and supervise Sales Coordinators to oversee post-sale campaign management and execution.
 
Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of digital media experience
  • Previous sales or agency experience is preferred
  • Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills
  • Ability to listen, adapt, and think quickly on your feet
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PPT
  • Ability to analyze data and use research tools (Google Analytics, Comscore, etc.)
  • Ability to learn internal operating systems quickly with training (Adforce1, Salesforce, Trello, Google Analytics, etc.)
Work Environment:
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, M-F. There is an expectation for this role to work odd hours from time to time for client services, campaign reporting, and client entertainment/events.
  • Travel Requirements: This role will travel on an as-needed basis to client meetings or IGN events.
  • Physical Requirements: There are no physical requirements for this role. 
  • Work Model: This role is a hybrid position in Los Angeles, CA. This role will be required to work out of our Los Angeles office at least 3 days per week.

Salary Disclosure: Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position is $70,000, plus incentive compensation, 401K with company match, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, short and long-term disability, and a flexible time off policy.
