Rejoignez-nous dans notre aventure pour créer notre prochain jeu d'aventure linéaire qui se déroule dans la Chine historique et qui propose un style visuel réaliste et un gameplay authentique de combat traditionnel. Le projet utilise Unreal Engine 5 et est co-développé en collaboration entre Montréal et notre studio principal en Chine.

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un artiste technique pour soutenir nos équipes de production. Le candidat doit avoir une solide expérience dans ce rôle sur des jeux précédents avec une connaissance et une expérience de la documentation technique et du pipeline de construction pour le texturage, la modélisation et l'ombrage, le contrôle de la mémoire et du budget, la communication, et qui aime travailler avec les autres membres de l'équipe.

Responsabilités :

  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec la direction artistique et la direction du jeu pour s'assurer que nous " matérialisons " nos rêves en termes de visuels.
  • Gérer les actifs créés pour le studio de Montréal, s'assurer que les pipelines, les directives techniques, les budgets avec/pour les équipes d'art visuel sont bien mis en œuvre.
  • Contrôler en permanence l'intégrité technique des données visuelles. S'assurer que les budgets de performance et de mémoire sont respectés par les équipes d'art visuel. Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les autres artistes, les concepteurs de niveaux et les programmeurs.
  • Créer des shaders et des matériaux pour les cartes de Montréal et les synchroniser rapidement avec China Studio.
  • Participer au développement de fonctionnalités et d'outils, y compris les demandes de développement d'outils d'art technique, les tests d'outils PCG, ainsi que les tests et ajustements VFX.

Qualifications :

  • 3 à 5 ans d'expérience en tant qu'artiste technique sur au moins un moteur de jeu en temps réel de pointe.
  • Familiarité avec Unreal Engine, connaissance de World Partition, nanite.
  • Connaissance approfondie et maîtrise du rendu en temps réel, de l'optimisation des données, de la performance et du benching de la mémoire.
  • Vous avez construit des pipelines et des flux de travail dans le passé.
  • Vous n'êtes pas seulement un résolveur de problèmes, vous êtes aussi une personne curieuse qui propose des solutions et des idées de grande valeur.
  • Vous avez d'excellentes capacités de leadership, de communication et de planification, et il est facile de travailler avec vous.

Position Overview:

Join us on our journey and help us create our next unannounced linear adventure game which is set in historical China and features a realistic visual style and authentic traditional combat gameplay. The project is making use of Unreal Engine 5 and is co-developed in collaboration between Montreal and our main studio in China.

We are looking for a Tech Artist to support our production teams. The candidate must have solid experience in this role on previous games with knowledge and experience of tech documentation and build pipeline for texturing, modeling and shading, memory and budget control, communication, and who loves working with other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with art and game direction to ensure we ‘materialize’ our dreams in terms of visuals.
  • Manage the assets created for Montreal studio, ensure the pipelines, technical guidelines, budgets with/for the visual art teams are well implemented.
  • Constant monitoring of the technical integrity of the visual data. Ensure that performance and memory budgets are met by the visual art teams. Work closely with other artists, level designers, and programmers.
  • Create shaders and materials for Montreal maps and promptly sync up with China studio.
  • Participate in features and tool developments, including Technical Art tool development requests, PCG tool testing, and VFX testing and adjustment.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience as Tech Artist on at least one state-of-the art real-time game engine.
  • Familiar with Unreal Engine, have knowledge of World Partition, nanite.
  • In depth knowledge and master of real-time rendering, data optimization, performance, and memory benching.
  • Has built pipelines and workflows in the past.
  • You are not only a problem solver; you also are a curious person who comes up with high value solutions and ideas.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, planning and easy to work with.
