Job Description

Paytm seeks a Business Product Manager (AGM/DGM) to lead Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for innovative devices (Soundbox, EDC, IoT). Responsibilities include designing and enhancing merchant product solutions, driving AI-led initiatives, integrating enabling tools, coordinating with the product team for seamless implementation, gaining on-the-ground insights, and owning the end-to-end product lifecycle (from BRD to UAT). The ideal candidate possesses proven product management experience (preferably in merchant-facing roles), a strong understanding of AI, cross-functional team coordination skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Paytm provides consumers with services like utility payments and money transfers, while empowering them to pay via Paytm Payment Instruments (PPI) like Paytm Wallet, Paytm UPI, Paytm Payments Bank Netbanking, Paytm FASTag and Paytm Postpaid - Buy Now, Pay Later. To merchants, Paytm offers acquiring devices like Soundbox, EDC, QR and Payment Gateway where payment aggregation is done through PPI and also other banks’ financial instruments. To further enhance merchants’ business, Paytm offers merchants commerce services through advertising and Paytm Mini app store. Operating on this platform leverage, the company then offers credit services such as merchant loans, personal loans and BNPL, sourced by its financial partners.

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Business Product Manager to spearhead the Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for Paytm's innovative devices (Soundbox, EDC, and other IoT innovations). This role requires an individual who can seamlessly bridge strategy with execution, manage device lifecycles, and ensure frontline teams have the tools and support needed to excel.

Structural Work:

Lead the design, improvement, and enhancement of merchant product solutions, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of merchants.

Drive AI-led initiatives for product development, leveraging Gen AI to improve merchant-facing tools and experiences.

Identify and integrate other enabling tools that improve merchant capabilities and overall experience.

Continuous Work:

Regularly coordinate with the product team to ensure seamless implementation of improvements, bug resolutions, and product enhancements.

Facilitate the debottlenecking process to ensure timely and efficient product delivery.

Gain on-the-ground insights into the challenges merchants face when using digital support systems, and translate these insights into actionable product improvements.

Take ownership of the end-to-end product lifecycle, from Business Requirements Document (BRD) creation to User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring that business product deliverables are met on time.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in product management, preferably in a merchant-facing or digital enablement role.

Strong understanding of AI technologies and their application in product development.

Expertise in coordinating cross-functional teams and working through the full product lifecycle.

Ability to translate business requirements into actionable product plans and ensure smooth execution.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. MBA is a plus.

Experience: 3–5 years in product management, GTM strategy, or operations, ideally in fintech or IoT devices.
