Welcome to Amazon Games Bucharest! Joining the ranks of the existing development teams in Orange County, Montreal, San Diego and Seattle, we’re excited to expand Amazon Games’ commitment to creating and publishing incredible games, and we’re on the lookout for talented folks to join us as we grow.
At Amazon Games, our ambition is to create bold new experiences that foster community in and around our games. Our team of game industry veterans is developing and publishing live service AAA multiplayer games and developing original IPs, including New World: Aeternum and an upcoming title based on The Lord of the Rings, with our studios and teams in Seattle, Orange County, San Diego, Montreal, and Bucharest. Amazon Games also publishes best-in-class games in close collaboration with developers, leading with Lost Ark from Smilegate RPG, THRONE AND LIBERTY from NCSOFT, and King of Meat from Glowmade, as well as the next major entry in the Tomb Raider series from Crystal Dynamics.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop character and environment concepts and help support the overall direction of the game set by Amazon Games Leadership.
- Iterate with other disciplines to deliver iconic characters and immersive environments to the players
A day in the life
As Concept Artist, you will use your talent, creativity and skills to contribute to the creation of iconic 3D characters and immersive environments. You collaborate with peers who enjoy an inclusive communication style and you make sure your work integrates well with the other game ingredients, providing the player with a unique gameplay experience.
About the team
Amazon Games Bucharest is building from the ground up, led by an incredible team of industry veterans. Located in the heart of Bucharest, the studio has access to the commercial, financial, and cultural center of Romania’s capital and largest city.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional experience as a concept artist for AAA games.
- Experience working with digital content creation tools such as Photoshop, Painter, etc.
- Portfolio showing creativity and a range of style
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to craft pre-production material
- A deep understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regards to illustration and design
- Solid approach from ideation to final concepts
- Ability to convey emotional intent through lighting and composition
