Job Description

The Customer Solutions Engineer at gTech Ads develops innovative solutions for Google's largest advertising partners. Working closely with sales teams, you'll leverage coding skills, communication, problem-solving abilities, and business acumen to create solutions ranging from prototypes and demos to educational materials. Responsibilities include managing technical client relationships, identifying business opportunities, collecting requirements, providing guidance on ad products, designing and implementing customized solutions, and handling escalations for named accounts. You'll apply your expertise in web technologies, data analytics, and SQL to achieve advertisers' business goals, working with display and performance solutions. The role requires strong technical and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Coding experience (Java, C/C++, Python)
  • Web tech experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP)
  • Technical troubleshooting skills
  • Partner/customer management experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
  • Experience working with web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).
  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience in the online advertising industry.
  • Experience with big data platforms and large volume data analytics.
  • Ability to construct complex yet efficient SQL queries.
  • Ability to work on their own and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

The Customer Solutions Engineering team is responsible for developing innovative, solutions to the business problems faced by the world’s largest partners. We work as a technical partner for our sales teams where your coding abilities, communication skills, desire to solve problems, and business acumen will all be leveraged to develop answers to questions most don’t even know to ask. Your solutions will take many forms, from prototypes and demos to education all with the technology resources of Google to back it up.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $97,500-$140,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical relationships with a select client portfolio.
  • Work with business to identify business opportunities leveraging both display and performance solutions supported by the team.
  • Collect requirements, provide guidance and best practices to apply ad products and technologies to achieve advertisers' business goals.
  • Design and implement, cross-product customized solutions with the client.
  • Be responsible for implementations and escalations handled by other Google teams for named accounts.
