KinaTrax seeks a Director of Technical Sales and Business Development to lead market share expansion and drive business growth in the in-game markerless motion capture industry. This role requires deep biomechanics and motion capture technology understanding, exceptional sales, relationship-building, and technical skills. Responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities, providing expert technical guidance, building client relationships, offering support on lab design, collaborating with internal teams, and creating marketing content. The ideal candidate will be a trusted expert in biomechanics, able to contrast KinaTrax's technology effectively with competitors and leverage their network to attract talent.

KinaTrax camera systems are currently deployed in over 50 stadiums & labs across MLB, MiLB, & NCAA organizations  and expanding rapidly. Our comprehensive data capture & analysis tools are operationalized for daily use by players, GMs, coaches, trainers, medical staff, and beyond. As the market leader in Major League Baseball, KinaTrax has established itself as a foundational part of the teams’ day-to-day strategy and decision-making machine. But we aren’t finished. Job Summary:
KinaTrax is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Technical Sales and Business Development to lead our efforts in expanding market share and driving business growth in the in-game markerless motion capture industry. This role requires a deep understanding of biomechanics and motion capture technologies, along with exceptional sales, relationship-building, and technical skills. The ideal candidate will serve as an industry expert who can engage with the biomechanics community, bridge technical knowledge with client needs, and position KinaTrax as the trusted leader in this space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy & Execution

    • Develop and execute sales and business development strategies to drive growth and achieve revenue targets for KinaTrax’s motion capture products and services.

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within key sectors such as sports, research, entertainment, and virtual reality.

    • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats within the motion capture industry.

  • Industry Expertise & Technical Engagement

    • Position yourself as a trusted expert in biomechanics, leveraging your knowledge and experience to build credibility and foster trust within the biomechanics community.

    • Provide expert-level technical guidance and support throughout the sales process, including product demonstrations and client presentations.

    • Effectively contrast KinaTrax's markerless motion capture technology with both traditional marker-based systems and leading markerless providers to highlight its advantages.

  • Relationship Building

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry leaders, and strategic partners to drive market expansion and enhance KinaTrax’s presence.

    • Engage with biomechanics professionals and influencers to ensure alignment with their needs and expectations.

    • Maintain long-term customer relationships, including regular onsite visits to foster trust and satisfaction.

  • Customer & Product Support

    • Offer guidance on the design and setup of motion capture laboratories, including advising on aspects like force plate installation.

  • Team Collaboration & Leadership

    • Work closely with senior management to align business development efforts with KinaTrax’s overall strategic objectives.

    • Contribute to the development and refinement of motion capture products based on market trends and customer feedback.

    • Collaborate with operations, product management, and R&D teams to ensure alignment between sales efforts, product capabilities, and market needs.

  • Marketing & Content Creation

    • Maintain and create content for social media accounts to engage with the industry and promote KinaTrax’s brand.

  • Additional Contributions

    • Leverage your network to identify and attract new talent to the organization, contributing to the company’s growth and innovation.

    • Proactively seek opportunities to strengthen client relationships by visiting nearby customers or prospects during sales site trips.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education

    • Master’s degree in Biomechanics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in motion capture technology or business management are advantageous.

  • Experience

    • Proven experience in technical sales and business development within the motion capture or related technology sectors, including demonstrated success in a leadership role..

    • Deep understanding of motion capture technology, its applications, and industry trends, with a focus on biomechanics and markerless systems.

    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth in the motion capture industry.

  • Skills & Attributes

    • Strong technical knowledge of motion capture systems and biomechanics, including familiarity with tools like Visual3D and KinaTrax Dugout.

    • Exceptional relationship-building skills, particularly within the biomechanics community and sports industry.

    • Ability to analyze complex technical data and market trends to develop effective strategies.

    • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.

    • Passion for technology, innovation, and driving positive change in the motion capture field.

    • Ability to thrive within a wider team

  • Other Requirements

    • Ability to travel extensively to meet with clients, attend industry events, and participate in trade shows.
