Job Description

The EVSE Staff Engineer will be part of the EVSE integration team within the Cloud Business Unit, working on IoT and Cloud SW. The role involves leading effective product architecture and development, providing hands-on technical expertise in design, engineering, deployment, and delivery, mentoring the engineering team, and collaborating with various departments. The engineer is expected to drive improvements in technical architecture, standards, and processes. They will also work with a team to ensure technology upgrades/migrations/ and builds are well understood and planned into roadmaps.

Must have:

Strong experience with software engineering practices.
Good programming knowledge of Backend.
Polyglot programmer with Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript + Node, Python.
Adept in multiple databases including SQL + NoSQL (Mongo / Cassandra DB / DynamoDB).
Good knowledge of web technologies, design patterns and architecture principles.

Good to have:

Familiarity with Frontend development, HTML/CSS, JavaScript and UI/UX design.
Familiar with HA/DR, scalability, performance, code optimizations.
Experience with working with highly performance and throughput systems.
Exposure or knowledge in Renewable Tech companies.
Familiarity with working with any embedded or telecom or hardware product is desirable.
Experience with IoT based systems preferred.

About the role:

For our EVSE integration team in the Cloud Business Unit we seek experienced IOT/ Cloud SW Technical Leader who will be able to work across multiple products to lead effective product architecture and development

Hands-on in various technologies, Mentor team of Engineers, on day-to-day duties as well as work with leadership team on strategic initiatives

Provide hands-on technical expertise to design, engineer, deploy, and deliver including driving improvements in technical architecture, standards, and processes.

Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Program Management and Professional Services to ensure required technology upgrades/migrations/ and builds are well understood and planned into roadmaps.

Ability to define, track and deliver items to one’s own schedule.

Who you are and what you bring

B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
6+ years of solid software development experience
Extensive knowledge of at least 1 cloud platform (AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP)
IOT Based product functionality knowledge.
Good knowledge and experience with Agile, TDD or BDD methodologies
Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
Understanding of software quality assurance and security principles
A technical mindset with great attention to detail
Ability to collaborate and work across team, functions, and geographies.
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, GIT, Bitbucket etc.
Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript and UI/UX design
Exposure or knowledge in Renewable Tech companies
Familiarity with working with any embedded or telecom or hardware product is desirable.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with IoT based systems preferred.
