Job Description
As a Finance Director (EMEA) at OKX, you will ensure accurate and timely financial statement preparation, ensuring compliance with IFRS or local statutory requirements. You will also manage external audits and develop the regional financial strategy to support business growth, including developing financial models and strategic frameworks. Additionally, you will implement financial systems, drive automation, and build a high-performing finance team across the EMEA region. You'll maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations and cryptocurrency market developments.
Must have:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- ACCA, CPA or equivalent certification
- 12+ years of financial leadership experience
- Strong understanding of cryptocurrency markets and blockchain technology
- Expertise in IFRS, US GAAP, and EMEA financial regulations
- Proven experience with financial systems and automation tools
- Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience managing multi-currency operations
Good to have:
- MBA
- Experience working across time zones and cross-cultural teams
- Experience at a crypto exchange
- Passionate about blockchain technology and the crypto space

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS or local statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations, financial reporting requirements, and EMEA regulatory requirements (e.g., VARA, MiCA, FCA).
- Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure compliance with financial and regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement the regional financial strategy by providing financial guidance to the regional leadership teams to support decision-making and business growth.
- Develop financial models and strategic frameworks to assess business opportunities and risks.
- Implement financial systems and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability to ensure robust internal controls over financial reporting and intercompany transactions.
- Drive automation and process improvements to support business growth and financial controls.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance team across the EMEA region by developing talent within the team, providing training, guidance, and career development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative culture that promotes accountability and excellence.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional financial regulations and cryptocurrency market developments.
What We Look For In You:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- ACCA, CPA or equivalent certifcation
- 12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in a cryptocurrency exchange, fintech, or financial services company.
- Strong understanding of cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology, and digital asset accounting.
- Expertise in IFRS, US GAAP, and EMEA specific financial regulations (e.g., VARA, MiCA, FCA).
- Proven experience with financial systems (e.g., Oracle NetSuite) and automation tools.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience managing multi-currency operations and intercompany transactions.
- Ability to lead and develop teams in multiple jurisdictions.
