ABOUT THE POSITION

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of VFX Artists, ensuring they follow approved workflow and pipeline practices to create and maintain consistent visual effects quality. 
  • Review and evaluate our team members to help them keep track of the goals and give support timely. 
  • Research and analyze current visual effect trends and technology to support the VFX team’s visual quality and style. 
  • Initiate a training plan to help the team develop skillsets to keep up with the demanding market. 
  • Create clear and accurate technical writing and documentation regarding VFX production for the artists. 
  • Work with the Production team to maintain a clear and consistent schedule. 
  • Produce stunning real-time visual effects for games and cinematics using a mastery of high-quality particle effects, meshes, textures, and shaders. 

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional VFX experience in the game industry as a Senior or Lead Artist. 
  • Experienced with real-time game engines such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or proprietary ones. 
  • Experience in leading VFX team, ability to mentor junior staff. 
  • Passionate about working collaboratively with the team to find solutions and contribute positively. 
  • Adaptability to various aesthetics and styles ranging from AAA photorealism to stylized cartoons. 
  • Killer portfolio with a number of beautiful projects or artworks included. 
  • Good working knowledge of English. 
  • Do play video games. 

Preferred: 

  • Experience with other content creation software: Embergen, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, After Effects. 
  • Experience with Houdini and dynamic simulations.
