Envar Studios is looking for a service-minded IT Specialist to join their team for a 9-month parental leave cover, with potential for a longer-term role. The specialist will be the main IT contact, supporting both client operations and internal team needs. Responsibilities include providing hardware and software support, managing tech equipment, overseeing employee onboarding/offboarding, enforcing cybersecurity policies, troubleshooting tools, and managing system updates. The role requires a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of modern IT tools and infrastructure. The IT specialist will also translate technical needs into user-friendly solutions.
Must have:
  • Experience with system administration and cybersecurity.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with remote management solutions.
  • Strong grasp of network basics and hardware setup.
Good to have:
  • A background in gaming or game development environments

Job Details

Location: Office in Medborgarplatsen - Stockholm, Sweden (Occasional remote work)
Type: Full-time, Parental Leave Cover (9 months from August to April)
Contract: Temporary with the possibility of extension
Start Date: August 2025

Your Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, service-minded IT Specialist to join our team on a 9-month parental leave cover with the possibility of a longer-term role as we continue to grow our IT department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone ready to take operational ownership of a broad set of IT responsibilities, executing day-to-day support and contributing to long-term technical stability..

In this role, you'll be the go-to person for all things IT supporting both client operations and internal team needs. You will work closely with stakeholders, manage hardware/software logistics, and ensure our tech setup is running smoothly and securely.

What matters most is a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a solid grasp of modern IT tools and infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary IT contact for internal teams and external clients

  • Provide hands-on support for hardware, software, server security, and remote systems

  • Set up, maintain, and manage company tech equipment and software

  • Oversee employee onboarding/offboarding from a technical perspective

  • Support and enforce cybersecurity policies and ensure compliance

  • Troubleshoot and administer tools like Google Workspace, Favro, Miro, and Slack

  • Monitor and manage security certificates and system updates

  • Manage IT equipment purchasing and inventory in line with budgetary guidelines.

  • Support the preparation of quotes and cost estimates to assist in budget planning and setup.

  • Support virtual infrastructure via VMware and Azure

  • Offer user training and maintain operational documentation

  • Stay current with tech trends and align IT operations with company plans

  • Translate client technical needs into internal actions and solutions

  • Administration of software licensing.

  • A tech-savvy generalist with a strong understanding of networking and troubleshooting

  • Able to translate technical language into user-friendly solutions for non-technical teams

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience with system administration, cybersecurity, and software management

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, ideally with:
    • Microsoft Azure

    • Microsoft Defender for Endpoint

    • Microsoft Intune

    • Google Workspace

  • Hands-on experience with remote management and MDM solutions

  • Strong grasp of network basics, hardware setup, and troubleshooting

Bonus Points For

  • A background in gaming or game development environments
