Iteration Manager

We are seeking a talented and energetic Iteration Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) or Aristocrat Labs (ALABs) organizations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing agile processes and delivering technology solutions that will contribute to the transformation of Aristocrat games and drive continued success. As part of Aristocrat Labs (ALABs), you will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive synergy, collaboration, and productivity. Exceptional knowledge of agile methodologies, strong communication skills, and project management expertise will be instrumental in achieving successful outcomes.

Working with the PMO leadership, the Iteration Manager will be embedded in our technology teams, tasked with building and maintaining industry-leading gaming technology.  You will participate in our exciting journey as we continue to build out our teams and to optimize our tools and processes for a new centralized, cross-business unit, gaming technology development function.

What You'll Do

Successful operational excellence for agile delivery demands a few critical daily, weekly, and monthly requirements and duties in the role:

• Analyze and become an expert in managing subtly different agile processes tailored to each technology team's unique needs, enabling them to deliver to their maximum potential.

• Supervise daily ceremonies, including stand-ups, planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.

• Mentor team members as a JIRA expert, contributing to the maintenance of well-defined processes within our JIRA environment for the technology teams.

• Initiate and lead the planning, execution, and delivery of incrementally developed technology solutions while proactively facilitating change and continuous improvement.

• Develop, maintain, and revise delivery and/or release plans, including objectives, technologies, timelines, and resource allocation.

• Establish and implement team communication plans, team delivery roadmaps and stakeholder engagement strategies.

• Manage the preparation and delivery of regular release status reports or dashboards, including key milestones, risks, and issues.

• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and impediments. Develop risk mitigation strategies and facilitate issue resolution, escalating as necessary.

• Motivate a collaborative team environment by supporting individual development, removing roadblocks, and holding teams accountable for their commitments.

• Lead collaboration with Product Owners, key stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define release goals, requirements, and expectations, ensuring alignment with the strategic vision.

• Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth in technical skills, project management practices, and leadership capabilities to enhance overall team performance.

• Contribute to an open, light-hearted, and fun work atmosphere that promotes teamwork and collective success within the PMO and technology teams.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience as an Iteration Manager or Scrum Master, leading and delivering agile projects or features within a technology-driven organization.
• Passion for and deep understanding of agile methodologies, with hands-on experience in facilitating daily ceremonies and evolving agile practices.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to adapt to technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and alignment among all team members.
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and assist the Product Owner, working with Project or Program Manager in managing competing demands.
• Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional technology teams and driving the development and implementation of technology roadmaps throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Proficiency in using Jira for project management within a technology context.
• Agile certification from recognized organizations such as Scrum Alliance, Scrum.org, PMI, or similar.
• Mostly autonomous, engaging with manager or senior peers to validate decisions on assignments.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results within project constraints.
• Experienced in leading and influencing teams to optimize performance, identify efficiency opportunities, and develop improved processes for enhanced delivery and management.
