The Role:

Working as part of the ION EMEA Commodities Account Management team, Junior Account Managers act in a supporting role to the Account Management team and as the primary point of contact between ION and certain select clients. Junior Account Managers are responsible for supporting existing Account Managers on select key accounts and eventually creating new and developing existing relationships within a portfolio of select Accounts, to generate sales of additional products and services and to protect existing revenues.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Primary responsibilities are to initially support Account Managers at key accounts through involvement with meetings, creation of escalation packs and other tasks identified to drive revenue
    • Eventually sell products, services and solutions offered by ION to existing select Accounts that will be assigned over time
    • Creation of Commercial Proposals and supporting documentation through liaising with other departments such as Professional Services and Corporate Sales, either in support of other Account Managers or for select assigned accounts
    • Manage the business relationship between ION and clients to achieve add-on sales and services revenue goals and maintain the clients’ current Annual Contract Value (ACV)
    • Learning all aspects of the sales cycle for a portfolio of select existing clients assigned to the Junior Account Manager resulting in closed deals and building skills and confidence so the portfolio can be expanded over time
    • Ensure client gets optimum value and satisfaction from the solutions provided
    • Responsible for assisting in accuracy of invoicing and debt collection in conjunction with the sales support organization

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

    • Excellent interpersonal and both written/verbal communication skills
    • Desire to work within a team-oriented environment, whilst also managing an individual workload
    • Ability to work to specific timelines

    • Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related IT field or equivalent experience in a related field
    • Experience of Commodities, Account Management or sales processes
    • Experience of liaising with clients, preferably in a selling role including use of CRM tools such as Salesforce
    • Additional languages
