Scopely is looking for a LiveOps QA Manager to join our Monopoly GO! team in our Sevilla studio hub on a hybrid basis or remotely.

Monopoly GO! is our new casual game and a key franchise that has just become Scopely’s largest game, enjoyed by millions of players. The team is based in Europe and the US, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.
 
What You Will Do
 Reporting into LiveOps Management with a dotted line to the QA Director, you will help strategise, incorporate and bring to fruition organisational objectives to support the test framework of LiveOps for our flagship title, MonopolyGo!
With a team of QA, both internal and external, you will help shape the future on how we continue to iterate to success, and evolve the way we work.
 
  • Assess and build upon our existing LiveOps test framework, inline with project growth and the wider teams goals and objectives, always striving to better quality output
  • Establish LiveOps communication and collaborations with client, server and the wider project, providing transparency and visibility to all
  • Working with LiveOps Tooling, assess the needs of the QA team to help maximise efficiency and output
  • Line manage LiveOps QA leadership, supporting their development and growth through IDPs, KPOs & 121’s
  • Manage expectations of our 3rd party test vendor(s) within the LiveOps setting, challenging KPIs and identifying areas in need of improvement
  • Play a leading role in the recruitment & onboarding of vacant LiveOps QA positions, as well as supporting wider QA team recruitment across the project where necessary
  • Be able to provide an holistic quality overview of LiveOps and upcoming content at any given time, through relevant tracking and reporting
  • Hold the team accountable for Release Train best practices, policing and supporting the gatekeeping of quality along the way and at each key milestone
  • Assist and be hands-on within LiveOps and (where necessary) wider team test coverage, supporting the utmost confidence in release standards while remaining current with in-development features & LiveOps content
  • Work closely with the roadmap team to support and proactively challenge for sufficient QA time based on your teams needs 
  • Help standardise QA efforts across the LiveOps team, providing feedback and suggestions to better them where applicable
  • Champion a ‘shift left’ attitude to help discover and resolve issues as early as possible, providing solutions to where this is not happening
  • Attend LiveOps team ceremonies to remain current and knowledgeable on the work being undertaken, reviewing briefs & specs at the earliest opportunity and flagging early concerns or considerations
  • Coordinate with other QA management, communicating new LiveOps content in development and how these may impact other teams work and / or focus
  • Working with Customer Support, highlight known upcoming quality concerns within LiveOps, and understand our users live key struggles and concerns
  • Generate and maintain a deep understanding of MonopolyGo and its mechanics, in order to assist in the carrying out of other duties
  • Contribute toward & remain within the defined QA annual operating plan, highlighting observed resource struggles or identifying excessive headcount within the team 
  • Be a champion with regards to the Scopely tenets for all to see

  • Comfortable travelling on occasion to offshore hub locations
  • Exceptional reporting capabilities
  • Extensive knowledge of JIRA and / or similar bug tracking systems
  • Mobile exposure and an understanding of Apple / Google submission protocol
  • A sound understanding of the gaming industry and the typical end to end development lifecycle
