Job Description
PhantomFX, a TPN Certified creative VFX studio with studios in Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, India, and administrative offices in Los Angeles, Canada, and Dubai, is seeking a Manager-Finance. The role involves providing strategic financial insights, managing financial reporting, payables, taxation, and statutory compliances. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate recording of vendor invoices and expense reports, handling income tax, GST, VAT, and FBT, and assisting with audits. The manager will prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and variance analysis, advise on meeting company targets, create investment capital, and utilize financial modeling. They will also assist with investor/vendor due diligence, structure financial deals, liaise with parties in financial transactions, assist with negotiations, and prepare legal documents. Collaboration with HRD on payroll and maintaining daily transaction records are also key. The role requires finalization of P&L and Balance Sheet, and significant involvement in budget preparation.
Must have:
- Proven work experience as a Finance Officer or similar role
- Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
- Experience using financial software
- CA - Intermediate qualification
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Knowledge of financial regulations
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Sharp time management skills
- Strong ethics, ability to manage confidential data
- B.com degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
- Ind AS - Group 1 knowledge

Roles and Responsibility
● Providing strategic insight and knowledge to shape the financial direction of Phantom FX
● Sr. Executive Finance would be responsible for Financial Reporting, Payables Management, Taxation & Statutory compliances ensuring proper accounting and reporting
● Ensure timely and accurate recording and processing of Vendor invoices, Expense Reports both manually as well as in accounts payable software
● Independently handle Income Tax, GST, VAT, FBT and Secretarial matters. Filing of various returns under above acts.
● Assist in the external and internal audit of Company’s financial statements ensuring accurate reporting. Preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules and be a primary point of contact for the auditors.
● Preparation of information on the financial direction of the business
● Preparation of MIS reporting monthly and quarterly variance analysis.
