We’re looking for a creative and experienced individual to head up our marketing, public relations & community initiatives. We’re a small team, so you’ll need to be comfortable wearing and constantly switching between a variety of hats to accomplish our objectives. We’re also a new company, building a new brand, creating a new IP, in a new work culture - so there’s a lot yet to be figured out and a lot of opportunities to be mined. Yet our budget may not be the AAA standard, so a DIY-mindset, out-of-the-box thinking and creative problem solving skills are a must to hit our targets.

You’ll also be responsible for partnering with publishing and working closely with the development team to create strategies that are executable and content that’s exciting for a campaign that generates attention and hype for this fun, innovative project.

We require a minimum of 8 years of Marketing/PR experience and/or at least 3 shipped game titles in the capacity of Marketing/PR for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of the Wildflower Brand.
  • Clarify and align on all internal company values and initiatives, and ensure company values are being upheld and promoted throughout all marketing, pr and social campaigns.
  • Deliberately craft, maintain, and measure our Brand, ensuring consistency and thematic resonance across all partners and channels, including internal messaging.
  • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and gaps.
  • Develop and execute end-to-end innovative marketing, social and PR campaigns, from conceptualization to delivery and analysis, to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Iterate and optimize short-term and long-term social, marketing and PR strategies.
  • Direct the design and oversee the execution of visually appealing, entertaining, and/or educational campaigns that are responsive across all platforms and social media channels.
  • Manage social media accounts, ensuring accurate targeting and personalized communication based on customer demographics, preferences and behavior.
  • Analyze performance metrics to optimize campaign effectiveness and engagement strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in marketing to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Procuring and maintaining external outlet partnerships (content creators, gaming outlets, influencers, etc) and aligning our internal development schedule with external PR and marketing opportunities.
  • Work with external and internal vendors to set-up and maintain all supporting websites.
  • Oversee and maintain effective SEO strategies.
  • Work closely with the publisher to guide, support, review and provide constructive feedback on key marketing, creative and assets.
  • Work closely with financials and craft a strategy that’s executable within our budget.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of internal and external creative partners (writers, producers, editors, directors, illustration artists, 3D/2D animation, visual designers) to deliver creative.
  • Build and maintain PR relationships and opportunities with outlets.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 8 years of Marketing/PR experience and/or at least 3 shipped game titles in the capacity of Marketing/PR for this role.
  • Experience developing campaigns - from strategic creation through execution of final delivery while building and maintaining a clear brand identity
  • Created decks, schedules and calendars for communicating, pitching and maintaining alignment with internal and external partners
  • Experience working with briefs and stakeholders to create strategies and executables targeted at ideal market demographics and gaming communities
  • Has experience procuring, working with and overseeing external and internal partnerships to generate content that brings the vision to life
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A DIY attitude, out of the box thinking and creative problem solving skills
  • Pragmatic and proactive mindset
  • Tracks market opportunities and trends and incorporates relevant findings into planning and necessary pivots
  • Experience developing, creatively planning and executing novel, successful campaigns within budget constraints
  • Has had extensive success building and maintaining publisher/developer relationships and communications
  • Expertise in forecasting and tracking software, and the communication of findings
  • Industry analysis and an understanding what gaming competitors are doing to promote sales, fandom, and engagement
  • Experience with creating content for social media accounts utilizing a preferred graphic design and basic video editing software
  • Experience with metrics and data analysis tools, reporting software and processes and the means to communicate findings and recommendations
  • A deep understanding of available outlets, their demographics, and efficient utilization of those contacts to generate awareness and drive engagement
  • Great communication, leadership and mentorship skills
