Xentrix Studios is hiring Modelers to join our production team in Bangalore. We require talented men and women who show exceptional understanding of form, scale and volume to create believable CG Sculpts /3D Models. The position offers a chance to work in a creative environment to produce 3D Models for children’s animated TV series, Feature Films, Theme Parks and Games. Good knowledge of Sculptural design i.e. orientation, proportion, scale, articulation and balance is essential. As a Senior Modeler, you will also be involved to guide and mentor the Junior members on your team. We require someone who has good mentoring and Leadership skills. We are all set to welcome artists who will contribute with their skills and provide ideas for creating stunning visuals.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Model as per the established designs and produce an accurate translation of the design reference, staying on model (in style).

he models need to meet the creative requirements of the Production Designer and/or Art Director and/or client.

It’s important that the model should satisfy the technical needs of the CG department and be efficient, reliable, to scale and to be easy to rig and animate.

Provide rigging and look dev ready assets that meet the technical requirements of the production pipeline.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Ability to use a maquette, sculpture or reference imagery to build 3D models.

Strong understanding of anatomy and perspective

Self-motivation, good communication skills, and a great team-player attitude

Experience and proficiency in Maya, Z-Brush or equivalent 3D software required

Background in traditional Sculpting would be a plus

Art Background. Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art, Illustration, Computer Graphics preferred

At least 6-8 years’ experience as a 3D Modeler for TV series / Feature / video games.

PORTFOLIO REQUIRMENT & SKILL TEST

Visual demonstration (Show reel: QuickTime or web link preferred) of Modeling skills that illustrates your versatility to build both Hard surface / Organic 3D Sculpts.

Only online artwork submissions will be accepted (e.g. website, blog or online album).

Candidate must be willing to complete a skill test if required
