Your Mission

Activision Publishing is currently looking for a Producer to join the Call of Duty franchise. We are looking for an individual who has a passion and proven track record for producing and launching incredible games.

As a Producer on Call of Duty, you’ll be responsible for providing support to the production and development teams across various areas. This involves active participation throughout the entire development process, from pre-production to launch. Your specific duties include but are not limited to overseeing responsibilities related to quality assurance (QA), first-party submissions, build schedules, marketing and public relations (PR) strategies, development studio relationships, franchise initiatives, and project risk assessments.

You’ll manage crucial production areas and collaborate closely with senior team members, including the Production Director, to ensure that the game’s needs are met through innovative thinking and effective risk mitigation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee various aspects of Call of Duty production, including submission strategies, operations processes, schedule organization, build management, marketing initiatives, and other production responsibilities.

  • Collaborate closely with Development Studios, QA, Localization, Submission Teams, and other support groups to ensure the timely submission of game code to first parties. Ensure schedule agility to align with changing development requirements and meet publicly announced release dates.

  • Be the primary point of contact for cross-functional groups such as Brand Management, Consumer Marketing, Public Relations, and others.

  • Regularly conduct ongoing risk assessments for the production team leadership, addressing potential hazards and bottlenecks that may impact the game schedule and quality. The Producer should be prepared to present potential solutions or next steps for resolution.

  • Establish robust partnerships with Development Teams to facilitate the game development process. Offer clear task prioritization and provide constructive feedback on game progress when requested.

  • Contribute constructive and creative feedback to the production team leadership to ensure that the game meets its quality and feature goals.

  • Record meeting summaries and translate them into a coherent and organized list of action items and next steps for the team when requested.

Player Profile

  • 5 or more years of Producer experience in developing and executing comprehensive game production and project plans

  • 2 or more years of experience leading, motivating, and driving teams to achieve success

  • Strong knowledge of and experience in game production and development on consoles and PC

  • Builds strong relationships across the organization (publishing and development)

  • Proactive and productive; drives timely decision-making, invested in outcomes

  • Resourceful, steadfast, and committed to delivering results

  • Earns trust & respect of peers and cross-functional teams; is viewed as a great teammate and partner

  • Can influence without authority

  • Effectively balances competing priorities and devotes time to what is most important

  • Maintains high standards notwithstanding pressing deadlines

  • Actively manages own tasks and responsibilities to ensure deadlines are met

  • Understands fundamentals of scoping, scheduling, staffing, and project management

  • Ability to identify issues and risks, and provide options for resolution

  • Able to create scenarios for submission and release planning; knowledge of First Party timelines, processes, and requirements

  • Understands how to tailor communication style to the audience in the conversation (internal/external/developer/executive)

  • A passionate advocate for excellence, good enough is not sufficient

The Producer should also lead with:

  • Expert verbal and written communication skills

  • Expert negotiation, change management, and conflict resolution skills

  • Expert critical thinking and problem sleuthing skills

  • Proficiency in game development methodologies

  • Strong project management skills including organized and focused task prioritization

  • Prominent ability to successfully navigate ambiguity

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $80,800.00 - $149,400.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
