This privacy policy outlines how we process your personal data when you apply to one of our job ads (either directly or through a recruitment agency) or when our team contacts you regarding a job vacancy through a professional network such as LinkedIn.
As part of the application process, applicants are required to provide us with their personal data.

Occasionally, we may search for suitable candidates through professional networks. In these cases, we receive the data you have already submitted to the professional network.
The purpose of data collection and data processing
Your personal data is processed within the current legal requirements and is used for the sole purpose of, and only within, the scope of processing your application and/or when selecting candidates.
Your data is only used for further purposes, if this is a requirement relating to the employment relationship. We will notify you of this and shall seek your consent should this be required.
The legality of processing your personal data
Personal data is processed in accordance with GDPR Article 6 Paragraphs 1.B to fulfill our (pre) contractual obligations within the application procedure, in accordance with GDPR Article 6 Paragraph 1.F is the processing becomes necessary, for example within legal proceedings (in Germany, Article 26 BDSG (Federal Data Protection Act) additionally applies). In case the candidate is found via a professional network, processing is completed in accordance with GDPR Article 6 (Paragraph 1.F) with the legitimate interest to find suitable candidates.
If any special categories of data are disclosed as part of your application, (GDPR Article 9, Paragraph 1) for example regarding any disabilities, your health, or ethnic background, then this is handled in accordance with GDPR Article 9, Paragraph 2.B.
Transferring your personal information
Your personal data is only transferred or disclosed to a third party if this is a requirement of the application process.
Occasionally, we may reach out to recruitment agencies to provide us with suitable candidates. Your data is only shared with a recruitment agency if this is the case. To determine the recruitment agency’s remuneration, information such as your gross salary may be passed on to the agency.

Duration of storage
Data received from successful applicants may be processed for the purpose and duration of the employment relationship. Even if the application is unsuccessful, the data will continue to be processed for the purpose of optimizing the application process, unless you object to this processing. Applicant’s or candidate’s data is deleted if the initially considered candidate (discovered through a professional network) is regarded as unsuitable for the available position.
Deletion takes place after a 1 year period, taking into account justified revocations from applicants. This enables us to complete any follow-up questions regarding the application, prove our adherence with our obligation of the German Equal Treatment Act, or prove that a candidate who is provided through a recruitment agency was known to us beforehand and therefore, that the agency is not entitled to any remuneration.
Applications of interest are stored on a consensual basis in accordance with GDPR Article 6 (Paragraph 1.A) and Article 7, for a period of two years. Before this period ends, we may request your consent for an extension.
Application documents are processed solely in the context of prospective vacancies and recruitment. The documents are destroyed once the deadline is reached, at the latest. Consent is voluntary and has no influence on the progress or outcome of applications and can be revoked at any time.
Your data rights
You have the right to obtain confirmation about the personal data we store, the purposes of its use, whether it will be transferred to other agencies, and the duration of its storage.
If your data is incorrect or is no longer required for the purpose it was collected, you can request to have it rectified, erased, or restricted. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory body.
