Job Description

The Retail Development Associate at Peanuts Worldwide (WildBrain) will be responsible for driving the execution of retail programs both in-store and online. This role involves close collaboration with Retail, Category, and Marketing teams. Responsibilities include coordinating strategic retail initiatives, managing timelines and deliverables, developing brand storytelling and marketing materials, tracking retail placements, managing Amazon product placement, overseeing e-commerce activities, managing brand asset traffic, and supporting Land-Based Experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong retail knowledge, experience in licensing or a related business role, excellent communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in MS Office Suite. Amazon experience is a plus.

Peanuts Worldwide, is a division of WildBrain Ltd., a global kids media and content company headquartered in Canada with offices worldwide. 

About the Role 

Are you passionate about retail development and driving brand success? Reporting to the VP of Global Retail Development, the Retail Development Associate will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of Peanuts retail programs both in-store and online. You’ll work closely with the Retail, Category, and Marketing teams, coordinating initiatives and driving cross-functional collaboration to achieve retail excellence. You will also support the team leading Land-Based Experiences (LBE), creating and maintaining presentation material for global meetings.  With exposure to international teams and Marketing, this is a dynamic role that will allow you to make a significant impact. Job Description

  • Drive Retail Execution: Act as the liaison between Retail, Category, and Marketing teams to ensure successful execution of Peanuts retail programs both in-store and online. Engage actively in retailer and licensee meetings and collaborate to gather and manage key information. 

  • "Show to Shelf" Coordination: Support the end-to-end process for strategic retail initiatives, managing timelines, deliverables, and approvals in partnership with internal teams. 

  • Brand Storytelling & Marketing: Work with Marketing, Retail, and Category teams to develop quarterly newsletters that highlight brand success stories and sales achievements. 

  • Retail Placement Management: Track and coordinate retail placements, ensuring timely and complete information from licensees. 

  • Amazon Coordination: Manage product placement and branding for Peanuts' Amazon storefront, working closely with cross-functional teams. 

  • E-commerce & Licensing: Oversee marketing and product approvals for Snow Commerce (Peanuts e-commerce store) and help create presentation materials for live brand experiences. 

  • Brand Asset Traffic: Manage the traffic of brand assets for partners on a case-by-case basis. 

Qualifications

  • College degree, preferably in Business or a related field. 

  • Experience in licensing or a business-related role, with broad retail knowledge, including product development, merchandising, and retail/sales development. Amazon experience is a plus! 

  • Familiarity with the digital market, including social media and influencer campaigns. 

  • A motivated self-starter with strong initiative, creativity, and a robust work ethic. 

  • A team player who can collaborate across departments and work effectively with senior executives. 

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 

  • A creative problem-solver who demonstrates sound judgment and acts decisively. 

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
