Job Description

This Senior Engineer role focuses on managing manufacturing energy consumption and costs at the plant level, reducing scope 1 and 2 emissions, and contributing to carbon neutrality. Key responsibilities include creating a carbon neutrality roadmap with clear goals, setting annual energy reduction targets, and providing detailed energy analysis reports. The role also involves managing energy budgets, optimizing energy costs, and conducting monthly energy audits. Furthermore, the engineer will undertake technical training and identify opportunities for energy optimization through NESCO audits and managing Capex projects for energy-efficient technologies.

Job Details

The role demands managing manufacturing energy consumption and cost at plant level as well as reducing scope 1 and scope 2 emissions and contributing to carbon neutrality.  
As part of the responsibility, the role is integral to work joining hands with NML AB1 team in transforming Plant Competitive KPI’s through technology transformation and innovation.

1.Carbon Neutrality Roadmap Managemen    
Create a roadmap with clear goals, improvement strategies with timeline.
Set annual energy reduction targets.
Provide detailed energy analysis reports to shopfloor and enforce energy control.

2.Cost Management (Opex)
Energy budget forecast.
Analyse the energy usage and optimize energy cost through various energy reduction activities.
Monthly energy booking and provisions preparation
Monthly Energy Audits in shopfloor

3.Skill Development (Self)
Undertake Technical Training (NESCO – Nissan Energy Saving Collaboration) and reach Regional Auditor Level (AMI Region) over the span of 3 years.
Conduct NESCO Audit (Technical Energy Audit) and identify opportunities to optimize energy.

4.Projects and Innovation (Capex)    
Study the energy efficient technologies, identify opportunities and prepare proposal for NGP Capex (AB1)
Evaluation of technical bids, managed schedules and cashout for approved NGP Capex projects.
