AnaVation is seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to join their team and contribute to an exciting work program. The role involves designing, implementing, operating, maintaining, and monitoring large enterprise networks, with a preference for federal government environments and experience with Agile processes using the SAFe framework. Key responsibilities include 24x7x365 monitoring, creating network blueprints, assessing new technologies, resolving performance issues, implementing security protocols, forecasting bandwidth needs, providing technical guidance, monitoring project implementations, developing documentation, and troubleshooting customer issues. The position requires an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain SCI access if requested.
Must have:
- 6 years of experience in network administration
- Strong knowledge of enterprise network infrastructure
- Experience with network monitoring, security, and firewalls
- Broad knowledge of cloud, network, security, routing protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS)
- Experience with WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls
- Proven project management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in an Agile organization (Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Confluence, SAFe)
- Active Top Secret clearance
Good to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Experience in federal government environments
- Experience with SAFe framework
- Ability to pass a polygraph if requested by customer

Description of Task to be Performed:
Come join our growing team and make a difference every day! AnaVation is seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to join an exciting work program. The successful candidate will have experience with designing, implementing, operating, maintaining, and monitoring large enterprise networks, preferably in federal government environments, and in following Agile processes using the SAFe framework.
Key responsibilities include:
· Provide on-site/on-duty monitoring personnel where identified, for 24x7x365 services.
· Create and review network blueprints, including LANs, WANs, and cloud networks, including scalability, performance, and security requirements.
· Assess new network hardware and software technologies, provide recommendations for upgrades or replacements based on emerging trends and business needs.
· Identify and resolve network performance issues, analyzing network traffic patterns, and optimizing network configurations for optimal efficiency.
· Identify potential network vulnerabilities, implementing security protocols, and advising on security best practices to protect sensitive data.
· Forecast future network bandwidth needs and identify infrastructure upgrades to accommodate growing demands.
· Act as a go-to person for complex network issues, provide technical guidance/training to other IT staff.
· Monitor network implementation projects, including configuration, installation, and testing of new network components.
· Developing network documentation and training materials for other team members.
· Maintain comprehensive documentation in Jira, Confluence, or any other document repository of network configurations, changes, and operational procedures.
· Staff day/afternoon/midnight shifts.
· Troubleshooting customer issues to identify and resolve root cause.
· Perform issue resolution and standard operating procedure management.
This position is onsite at our customer site in Clarksburg, WV.
This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and, if requested by the customer, the ability to successfully pass a polygraph and obtain SCI accesses
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, information systems, or information technology. In lieu of degree, minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience required.
- Experience: 6 years
