Position Overview

We seek a passionate Software Development Engineer to join us in developing the AutoCAD Map 3D product. The developer will develop and maintain AutoCAD Map 3D, working with our fantastic global team of engineers. This role is hybrid in Vancouver, Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a member of a high-performance team, making important contributions.

  • Develop high-quality, stable code for use in products and solutions for customers and ensure new code conforms to established coding standards and meets the feature specification.

  • Work with a global team in a collaborative environment to achieve team goals

  • Improving application performance

  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

  • Unit-test code for robustness

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.

  • 5+ years working experience in software development. Successfully completed two or more commercial software development cycles

  • Sophisticated programming skills with C++ programming skills and rich experience on Visual Studio toolsets

  • Experience with C#, .NET, Windows forms and WPF applications is a plus

  • Strong background in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD), demonstrating extensive experience and proficiency in these areas

  • Comprehensive technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation

  • Good analytical and design skills at product level

  • Good communications and interpersonal skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of databases, e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, SQLite, etc., is a good plus

  • Knowledge of Web technology is a good plus

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or GIS products is a good plus

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $98,600 and $144,650. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
