Located in Vancouver, BC, 2K Sports Lab is a small collective being formed within 2K Games that is driving the research and development of future sports interactive entertainment programs. Within this group, speculative work will be done on future sports games with an eye towards taking the magic of 2K’s publishing and development expertise and applying them to future opportunities.

What We Need
Our studio in Vancouver is seeking an experienced UI engineer to join our development team in working on a new AAA Sports game. This role will work closely with senior engineers from all game areas, artists, designers, and technical leadership of the studio. Within this role, you will be focused on graphical user interfaces including a focus on building larger experiences that include client and server work.
What You’ll Do
- Work with other UI and gameplay engineers to develop clean and intuitive interfaces for all areas of the game
- Work with UI artists to implement art assets and animations using UMG and Blueprints in Unreal Engine 5
- Develop, implement, and debug code for UI/UX systems and tools
- Collaborate with content creators to improve workflows and efficiency
- Produce code that is clean, efficient, well-documented, and conforms to our coding standards
- Conduct regular code reviews and provide meaningful feedback
What Will Make You A Great Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
- 5+ years of proven experience working as a UI or Client Engineer shipping products on console or mobile devices
- Expertise in C/C++ and object-oriented programming
- Solid understanding of multi-threaded concepts
- Solid 3D math and linear algebra skills
- Ability to write clean, well-documented, and efficient code
- Ability to explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
