Job Description

The Marketing Cloud Strategist leads vision, strategy, and alignment with Salesforce customers' Marketing Leaders. Responsibilities include building senior C-level customer relationships, creating transformational strategic visions, digital maturity assessments, roadmaps, and user experience journey maps. The role involves partnering with Industry Portfolio Leads on new business, supporting business development, and driving a culture of value-driven decision-making. Strong storytelling, cross-functional collaboration, and thought leadership are crucial. The ideal candidate has 15+ years of experience, 8+ years in leadership, deep Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud expertise, and experience in the Comms/Media/Telco industry.

The Marketing Cloud Strategists lead and drive vision, strategy, and alignment with our Salesforce customers’ Marketing Leaders. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building strategic relationships with our most senior C-level customers to significantly help guide them in addressing their transformational Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud needs
  • Accountable to create various degrees of appropriate transformational strategic visions, digital maturity assessments, roadmaps, customer & user experience journey maps, and other strategic recommendations - with the expectation of also bringing these experiences to life.
  • Be the catalyst for change between technology, brand, and business - with a strong skill in working with Marketing technology.
  • Partner with Industry Portfolio Leads on new business by identifying new business opportunities and connecting the appropriate abilities needed to support
  • Support business development in pursuits, solutions, estimation and high level staffing plans
  • Use compelling storytelling and future visioning to drive consensus, alignment, and implementation of visions.
  • Drive a culture of business value-driven decision making and measurement.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, agencies, and partners - up to an executive level.
  • Develop thought leadership, being a champion of innovation and standard processes.
  • Provide leadership for teams within the Marketing workstream.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 15+ years experience, with 8+ years leadership experience
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud product knowledge and expertise as well as knowledge of Salesforce products and ecosystem - at an enterprise level.
  • Experience leading teams at a Director+ level and comfort combining business case evaluation, idea-to-reality planning, analysis-led insight development, and strategy to build best-in-class programs.
  • Industry experience in Comms/ Media/ Telco highly preferred
  • Experience delivering to large groups, and executive level marketers.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace suite, including Slide development, and digital collaboration tools like Miro, Mural, or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - with an emphasis on compelling storytelling and visualization skills (virtual and onsite presentations or workshops).
  • Design and facilitation of workshops, user testing, and research sessions.
  • Strong analytical skills, or the ability to translate large and complex sets of information into simple digestible stories.
  • A commitment to listen and learn with empathy and a curious approach to problem solving.
  • Confident, strategic leader with proven track record of ownership and accountability in your career.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degrees, or equivalent in work experience.

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $200,300 to $290,500.

For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $183,600 to $266,300.

For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $200,300 to $290,500.

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
