Meta is seeking experienced Software Engineers to join our teams who create all of Meta's products used by billions of people around the world. You will help build new features and improve existing products like Ads, Video, Groups, News Feed, Search and more. You will solve unique, large scale, highly complex technical problems. You can help build products that help us connect the next billion people, create new features that have billions of interactions per day and be a part of a team that’s working to help people connect with each other around the globe. As a Software Engineer, Infrastructure, you will be responsible for leading complex technical efforts across many engineers, designing core, backend software components, coding using primarily C/C++, Java, PHP and Hack, interfacing with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa, conducting design and code reviews, analyzing and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources, setting direction and goals for the team regarding project impact, product quality and engineering efficiency, leading major initiatives, projects, teams, roll-outs and phased-releases, helping onboard new team members, providing mentorship and enabling successful ramp up on your team's code bases, and proactively identifying and driving changes as needed for assigned codebase, product area and/or systems.
Must have:
- Programming experience in a relevant programming language
- Relevant experience building large-scale infrastructure applications or similar experience
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Javascript or Hack
- Experience leading major initiatives successfully
- Experience leading projects and teams accordingly
- Experience building and shipping high quality work and achieving high reliability
- Experience improving quality through thoughtful code reviews, appropriate testing, proper rollout, monitoring, and proactive changes
- Experienced in utilizing data and analysis to explain technical problems and providing detailed feedback and solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Good to have:
- Experience in programming languages such as C, C++, Java

Software Engineer, Infrastructure Responsibilities
- Lead complex technical efforts across many engineers
