Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You'll advise on financial reports required by governmental regulations, and review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports. As a member of the Cross-Product Areas Technical Accounting team, you will gain a holistic understanding of the substance of complex business arrangements spanning multiple product and functional areas. You will identify the accounting implications of those arrangements and communicate the impact to business stakeholders in an accessible manner. You will serve as a strategic advisor to product and functional area controllers in forming the accounting judgments critical to these agreements and document accounting conclusions in professionally crafted memorandum grounded in accounting guidance. You will also provide oversight of the accounting implementations of agreements to ensure technical conclusions manifest in reported amounts as part of the financial close process. You will engage with leadership to provide periodic updates on accounting technical assessments and agreement performance over time. You will collaborate with our global team, advocate best practices. You will use your problem-solving skills to support Google's business objectives.
