Job Description

As a Japanese-speaking Account Manager at KICK, you will be responsible for managing relationships with Japanese streamers and industry figures. Key responsibilities include identifying and onboarding new talent, developing and executing growth strategies, managing partner accounts (including payments and reporting), collaborating with internal teams, and surfacing sponsorship opportunities. You will act as the primary contact for partners across various areas (programming, marketing, finance), ensuring successful onboarding and ongoing support. The role requires fluency in Japanese and English, a deep understanding of Japanese culture and the streaming industry, and a passion for gaming.
Must have:
  • 1+ year strategic account management or client relations
  • Passionate about streaming industry
  • Fluent in Japanese and English (verbal & written)
  • Native-level Keigo & Japanese business language
  • Strong understanding of Japanese culture

  • Experience in digital video/entertainment
  • eSports knowledge

What you will do:

  • Be the primary contact for partners for all areas (programming, marketing, finance) to manage activities such as content promotions, new user acquisition opportunities, partner payments, and reporting.
  • Implement partner hand-off once a deal has been completed and work with the partner to build an account plan to support each party’s commitments under the agreement.
  • Manage onboarding of new channel partners including channel set-up, content ingestion and publishing process, teaching partners how to use the dashboard and related CMS features
  • Surface sponsorships opportunities to partner by working with Ad Sales teams.
  • Log and track partner account status within Kick’s backend, regularly report metrics against established goals for each partnership
  • Identify and build strategic growth strategies for newly onboarded partners.
  • Work with Product teams to identify new products (i.e. Extensions, Co-streaming with Kick influencers) that add value and audience to the partners’ content on Kick

What you will bring:

Essential experience

  • At least 1+ year of strategic account management or other relevant client relations
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the streaming industry and its operations is a mustMust be fluent in both Japanese and English, verbally and written
  • Native-level fluency in Keigo and Japanese business language, both verbal and written
  • Strong understanding of Japanese culture and a passion for the Japanese streaming industry 

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience in the digital video or entertainment industry
  • eSports knowledge
  • Experience with Discord and Google Workspace
