Job Description

The Account Executive, Google Workspace, New Business role focuses on new customer acquisition through outbound and self-prospecting activities. Responsibilities include driving business development, forecasting, achieving strategic goals, managing the customer lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and working with Customer Engineers and Google Cloud partners. The ideal candidate will have experience selling SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS products, fluency in English and Spanish, and a proven track record of exceeding quotas. The role involves developing new product initiatives and working on game-changing ideas within a rapidly growing and innovative team.
Must have:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in sales with Software-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, or Infrastructure-as-a-Service products and platforms.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently for interactions with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience promoting collaboration or productivity software.
  • Experience reaching and exceeding quotas and strategic goals in the technology industry in a Sales role.
  • Understanding of the technology and cloud computing market, with a passion for Google Cloud products (e.g., Google Workspace, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Ability to build influential relationships and deliver results in a cross-functional/matrixed environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.

As a member of the New Business Sales team, you will develop new product initiatives with our Product, Marketing, and Partnerships teams. You will be a thought leader who will find, digest, and share industry trends and key influencers. You'll open doors with potential partners, chat with them about their businesses, and present these opportunities to our executive leaders. You will help discover and shape some of Google's boldest ventures.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new customer acquisition via outbound and self-prospection activities.
  • Drive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and serve as the primary customer contact for all adoption-related activities.
  • Work with Customer Engineers and Google Cloud partners to maximize business results and develop opportunities with small and medium businesses.
