Job Description

This Account Manager role focuses on driving growth for Google's large consumer and technology clients. Responsibilities include delivering against ambitious quarterly goals, owning a portfolio of complex businesses, proactively pitching and consulting with clients, and developing multi-quarter plans. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication and analytical skills, experience in advertising or media sales, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. They will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, manage risks, and achieve customer marketing objectives. The role requires expertise in strategic sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, and compelling storytelling.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Fluent English communication
  • Client relationship management
  • Achieve sales quotas and drive growth
Good to have:

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing role.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling and promoting.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy while demonstrating thought leadership and high executive functioning within the digital marketing space.
  • Ability to lead and manage multiple projects with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders while thinking strategically and developing action plans.

We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals while driving customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Own a portfolio of large complex businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying constant opportunities for growth, managing risks and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively to support marketing discussions and budgets, while developing and maintaining a pipeline that helps to manage the business and maximize impact.
  • Partner with team members and a diverse set of cross-functional partners to drive business opportunities that build long-term growth, while exhibiting strong stakeholder management internally and externally alongside relationship building with the end customers.
