Job Description

As a Field Sales Manager at Google Public Sector, you'll focus on acquiring new clients, collaborating with teams to develop market acquisition strategies, and educating clients on Google's offerings. You'll manage a team, build C-level relationships, structure strategies between Google and clients, and lead cross-functional teams to drive client success. You'll also plan and achieve growth goals by presenting Google advertising products and solutions tailored to client marketing objectives. The role requires a deep understanding of Google's advertising products and their application to various marketing needs. This position requires experience in technology sales, team management, and working with the US Department of Homeland Security or Department of Justice. Location: Washington D.C., DC, USA, Reston, VA, USA
Must have:
  • 10+ years in tech sales

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in technology sales or working with customers in a sales role.
  • 3 years of experience managing a team.
  • Experience working with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud/IT technology space.
  • Experience supporting US Department of Homeland Security or US Department of Justice.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience promoting cloud computing technologies to organizations across geographies and functions.
  • 6 years of experience promoting products across multiple verticals with focus on Enterprise accounts.
  • 4 years of experience working with channel partners to meet business goals.
  • Experience growing in a ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to test and iterate different engagement and sales methods.
  • Ability to navigate and influence set of stakeholders.

In this role, you will focus on new client acquisition. You will collaborate with extended teams to devise strategies to acquire specific segments of the market. You will also educate prospective and current clients on the opportunities within their business sector.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Manage a team, set and communicate team priorities and make decisions and support activities.
  • Build and manage relationships with C-level clients and executive partner stakeholders. Develop a comprehensive understanding of their business tests, marketing objectives, and success metrics.
  • Structure a strategy between Google and clients, and lead a cross-functional team within Google to collaborate on projects and drive client success.
  • Plan and achieve, growth goals, through the presentation of Google advertising products/solutions that will help clients to meet their marketing objectives.
  • Build a knowledge of how Google advertising products work and can be used to help meet a range of marketing objectives.
