This Account Strategist role focuses on driving growth for medium and large businesses within Google's advertising platform. Responsibilities include delivering against ambitious quarterly growth goals, owning a portfolio of clients, understanding their growth drivers, and developing multi-quarter plans. The role requires proactive pitching, consulting, and managing client relationships. Success hinges on delivering outstanding customer experiences, achieving client business objectives, and driving stakeholder management. Fluency in English, Dutch, and French is essential for client communication. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical abilities, communication skills, and experience in online media, advertising sales, or marketing, demonstrating expertise in performance marketing, digital advertising campaigns, and consultative sales techniques.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in advertising/sales/marketing
  • Fluency in English, Dutch, French
  • Consultative sales skills

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, online media environment, or marketing roles.
  • Ability to communicate in English, Dutch, and French fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience strategically assessing and achieving client success via sales techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling and competitive selling.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Expertise in managing digital advertising campaigns with a focus on performance marketing.
  • Ability to own a portfolio in an advertising or media sales context in Netherlands or Belgium, and consistently overachieve quotas to drive growth.
  • Ability to build compelling narratives and utilize storytelling as a client engagement strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Own a portfolio of medium and large size businesses by thoroughly understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks and building multi-quarter plans for achievement.
  • Pitch and consult with customers proactively to support annual digital marketing discussions and budgets.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
  • Drive stakeholder management, build relationships with the end customer or agencies.
