This role focuses on helping mid-market customers elevate their digital maturity and achieve business goals using Google solutions. The Account Strategist will manage a portfolio of businesses, understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities, managing risks, and building quarterly plans. Key responsibilities include driving customer growth through outstanding customer experience, achieving customer business and marketing goals, owning the business process (outreach, pitches, implementation, evaluation), and working towards quarterly business and product growth goals. This customer-facing role requires fluent communication in English and Japanese. The Mid-Market Sales (MMS) team is a critical growth engine for Google Customer Solutions, working with customers across various sectors like finance, healthcare, and real estate.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years in account management, sales, or marketing
  • Fluent in English and Japanese
  • Develop and pitch solutions
  • Manage multiple accounts
  • Drive customer growth
Good to have:
  • Experience in tech/advertising sales
  • Google Ads/YouTube experience
  • Media experience (TV, radio, print)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in account management, sales, or marketing.
  • Experience developing and pitching solutions through various channels (e.g., over the telephone, email, in-person meetings) to prospects.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently to interact in this customer-facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in sales in a technology, advertising, media sales, or internet environment.
  • Experience with Google Ads and YouTube account management, managing advertising or media campaigns.
  • Experience in media across a variety of platforms (e.g., TV, Radio, Print, Sponsorship, etc.).
  • Experience managing multiple accounts simultaneously while paying attention to detail.
  • Ability to grow in a rapidly changing environment with excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills.

Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

The Mid-Market Sales (MMS) team is a critical growth engine for customers in Google Customer Solutions, which looks after various sized customers with a focused approach, with multiple supporting specialist teams.

In this role, you will be focused on helping our customers elevate their digital maturity and achieve their business goals and marketing objectives by leveraging our Google solutions. Our customers include finance, healthcare, real estate, career, and so on, who are developing their digital marketing capabilities. You will play a key role in unlocking growth from these customers by building long-term relationships and orchestrating our Google advertising and digital solutions.

This is a customer-facing role that requires interactions in Japanese with local stakeholders.
