Job Description

The Sales Support Specialist will join the Data Sales team and be responsible for sales support and managing client relationships with companies in Japan subscribed to Nasdaq Data Services. This role involves identifying and closing new business opportunities, managing customer onboarding, contract administration, conducting account analyses, ensuring seamless client communication on data product changes, maintaining sales and client updates on Salesforce, reviewing low usage accounts, and supporting co-marketing efforts. This role offers the opportunity to drive transformative data solutions for financial clients in Japan and be part of a team driving revenue growth.
Must have:
  • 3-5 years of sales or account management experience
  • Knowledge of financial markets or FinTech industry
  • Excellent communication and research skills
  • Outstanding customer management and presentation skills
  • Proficient with MS Office and Salesforce
  • Native Japanese language proficiency and fluency in English
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business

What We Offer

We are seeking an energetic individual for a Sales Support Specialist position to join our Data Sales team. This position will be responsible for sales support and managing client relationships with companies in Japan currently subscribed to Nasdaq Data Services. You will play a pivotal role in elevating customer relationships in a dynamic business environment. The position offers the opportunity to drive transformative data solutions for our financial clients in Japan. In the process, you will be part of a team driving revenue growth by working closely with the sales executives. You will also actively contribute to marketing, data product development, and sales strategy for Nasdaq data business. We are open to candidates based in Tokyo and in Hong Kong.

What You Will Do

You will be part of Nasdaq Data Sales team in the Asia Pacific region and your primary responsibility will be supporting sales and managing client relationships for the Japan market by:

  • Partnering with the sales team to identify, develop and close new business opportunities in Japan
  • Managing the onboarding process of new customers, contract administration, re-contracting, billing and other inquiries related to Nasdaq data business
  • Conducting analyses of assigned accounts including identifying industry trends and competitive landscape
  • Working with other business units to ensure seamless client communications on data product changes and price adjustments
  • Maintaining sales and client updates on Salesforce ensuring we have the correct billing contact details and subscribed data services
  • Reviewing low usage accounts and proactively communicating with our clients for timely usage-reporting
  • Supporting our co-marketing efforts with key clients by working closely with our in-house marketing team

What We Expect

  • At least 3-5 years of direct sales or account management experience
  • Knowledge of financial markets or FinTech industry
  • Excellent communication, planning, and research skills with great attention to detail
  • Outstanding customer management and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly proficient with MS Office and Salesforce
  • Native Japanese language proficiency and fluency in English
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business
