Job Description

This Account Strategist role at Google focuses on driving growth for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) by leveraging Google Ads. Responsibilities include delivering against quarterly business goals, establishing client relationships through phone calls and emails, conducting consultations and pitches, managing a portfolio of SMB clients, and understanding their growth drivers. The role demands expertise in identifying opportunities, managing risks, and developing quarterly plans. Success relies on delivering outstanding customer experiences and achieving customer business and marketing objectives. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills, along with experience in advertising sales, marketing, consulting, or media. Knowledge of digital advertising campaigns, performance marketing, and online marketing strategy is highly advantageous.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience in advertising sales/strategy
  • Fluent English communication
  • Client relationship management
  • Achieving client success via business techniques
  • Delivering against ambitious growth goals
Good to have:
  • Experience managing digital advertising campaigns
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy
  • Experience in performance marketing

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in advertising sales and strategy, marketing, consulting, or media.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently to support client relationships in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in assessing and achieving client success via business techniques, including effective questioning, objection handling, engaging narratives, storytelling and engaged promoting.
  • Experience in managing digital advertising campaigns and performance marketing.
  • Knowledge of online marketing strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver against ambitious quarterly business and product growth goals.
  • Establish relationships via phone calls or e-mail marketing and conduct regular phone consultations and business pitches with clients to advise them on how to get the return on their Google Ads investment.
  • Own a portfolio of small businesses by understanding growth drivers identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks and building quarterly plans for achievement.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering outstanding customer business experience and achieving customer business and marketing objectives.
