The Business Applications Timezone Leader drives thought leadership, assisting customers in business process transformation using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Contact Center as a Service, Power Platform, and AI innovations. This role leads experienced sales and technical experts, engaging C-suite stakeholders and BDMs in top customer accounts. Responsibilities involve bringing industry insights and solutions to enable end-to-end business transformation. The leader will report to the Global Sales Leader, with dotted-line accountability to STU Business Applications leadership teams. Key responsibilities include building and empowering a high-performing team, partnering with cross-functional leadership, shepherding customer/partner satisfaction, growing market share, and developing talent.
Must have:
  • Solution sales experience in Business Applications (ERP, CRM, Contact Center, Low Code, AI)
  • Identifying complex business challenges and solutions
  • Leading multi-million-dollar deals and large teams
  • Deep understanding of business solutions, cloud offerings, and sales methodologies
  • Strong leadership, presentation, and communication skills
Good to have:
  • Experience with Microsoft's cloud platform and competitor ecosystems
  • Skills in Design Thinking, Business Value Engineering, and Challenger sales
  • Fluency in multiple languages
  • Passion for multicultural issues and developing economies

We are looking for someone to drive thought leadership and help customers in their business process transformation, using Microsoft Dynamics365, Contact Center as a Service, Power Platform and our AI innovations. The role will lead the experienced sales and technical experts (Global Black Belt) to effectively engage C-Suite level stakeholders and build and maintain relationships with Business Decision Makers (BDMs) in our top customers to help them achieve their business goals. The role will bring industry-relevant business value insights and leading solutions to successfully enable the customers’ end-to-end business transformation

Qualifications

  • Solution sales for Business Applications solutions including ERP, CRM, Contact Center, Low Code, AI, and similar business applications.  
  • Understand Identifying unique and complex business challenges and solutions, champion customer asks, blockers and escalations to progress deals faster into closure and inform the GTM strategy for Business Applications sales motions.  
  • Possess passion and skills for getting into the details to understand root cause behind issues and opportunities and possess the ability to turn deep business insight into actionable plans.       
  • Leading best practice sharing across areas and EMEA Time zone Regional communities to multiply the business impact in Business Applications 
  • In driving new incubation solutions and landing at scale 
  • Leading multi-million-dollar deals requiring orchestration of large, dispersed, virtual teams composed of industry, solution, technical, licensing & legal team members. 
  • Demonstrated passion and commitment for customer success.
  • Demonstrated Sales and Sales Management experience in Industry-aligned Enterprise sales. 

Deep Understanding of: 

  • Business solutions, ERP & CRM, Contact Center, Low Code and AI solutions and how they translate into business impact for customers.   
  • Commercial cloud offerings, ideally including Microsoft’s cloud platform as well as competitors and related ecosystems.     
  • The latest Business value selling methodologies, practices and technologies that drive sales prospecting and sales management in complex solution selling environments (e.g. Design Thinking, Business Value Engineering, Challenger sales etc.).

  • Excels at developing strong relationships and leadership connections to understand customer needs. 
  • Adept at challenging perspectives with innovative ideas that reframes thinking about deriving value from Microsoft solutions. 
  • Strong presentation, white boarding, and communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated people leader able to coach and inspire a diverse team of Solution Sales and Technical Sales Professionals. 
  • Strong negotiating skills 
  • Candidates should have demonstrated excellent business judgment and results across a range of disciplines including sales, marketing, finance, and strategic planning.  
  • Must have excellent process discipline, milestone management and time management skills with strong problem solving and decision-making skills.      
  • Must think strategically about business issues and organizational strategy.     
  • Creative thinker who can see “the big picture” and unite new and disparate ideas with practical plans, working comfortably in the face of ambiguity and in a matrixed enterprise organization.     
  • Must demonstrate organization and process focused discipline; especially in areas of the business they do not directly own.  
  • Can clearly prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks and projects in parallel and effectively achieve results through an indirect group of internal Microsoft stakeholders.     
  • Have strong networking and people skills.  
  • Possess the ability to build positive working relationships across organizational boundaries.  
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a loosely structured team environment that demands a high degree of cooperation, flexibility, teaming, cross group, and real-time responsiveness.     
  • Possess excellent listening skills and proficient oral and written communications.     
  • Have a passion and interest in multi-cultural issues, and the growing impact of developing economies on global business trends.     
  • Fluent English language abilities and excellent presentation skills required with other regional language speaking skills preferred.     
  • The role will require travel.  

 

Responsibilities

The Time Zone leader will be an experienced business sales leader reporting directly to the Global Sales Leader for Business Applications (Contact Center as a Service, Power Platform and our AI innovations), with dotted line accountability for the STU Business Applications leadership teams for individual Areas and subsidiaries across the Time Zone.

  • Face and Advocate for Microsoft’s Business Applications business with all appropriate internal and external stakeholders including analysts, press, trade conferences and partners.  
  • The center of gravity and leadership for all functional groups across Partners, Digital Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Strategy & Operations, Customer Success, and FastTrack to bring the full strength of the teams together to support every Area to capture growth opportunities and gain market share for Business Applications business.  
  • Shephard customer/Partner Satisfaction - drive customer and partner satisfaction by understanding, interpreting, and responding to customer/partner and market realities.   
  • Grow Share and Compete - ensure geo teams are focused and proactive in growing our share in the market faster than our key competitors.    
  • Hire, Retain, and Develop Great Talent - ensure sustainable organizational capability by designing and consulting on workforce development plans -prioritization of resource allocation, assessing performance, selecting, and developing local talent.
