Job Description
The Cybersecurity Analyst (Mobile) will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing external cyber threat data to provide insights and actionable intelligence about potential cyber threats within federal government environments. Key responsibilities include triaging threat intelligence, analyzing mobile threats, developing threat intelligence reports, and developing mitigation strategies. The analyst will also need to stay informed about the latest threats and mentor junior staff. This role is on-site and requires an active Top Secret clearance.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- 8 years of experience.
- Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Understanding of mobile threat tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Understanding of forensics tools and methodologies for mobile device analysis.
- Experience with cyber threat detection, analysis, and reporting.
Good to have:
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel.
- Familiarity with mobile device security frameworks (MobSF).
- Experience with the Internet of Things (IoT) and mobile security.
- GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI) certification.

Description of Task to be Performed:
Come join our growing team and make a difference every day! AnaVation is seeking an experienced Mobile Security Analyst subject matter expert for a high priority cyber-focused work program. The successful candidate will have experience monitoring and analyzing external cyber threat data to provide insights and actionable intelligence about potential cyber threats within federal government environments.
Key responsibilities include:
· Triage information collected from different threat intelligence sources and analyze pattern of attacks, their methodology, motive, severity, and threat landscape.
· Lead the analysis and identification of mobile threats, including malware, vulnerabilities, and other malicious activities targeting mobile devices and applications.
· Develop threat intelligence reports based on findings from mobile threat monitoring, investigation, and collaboration with cyber intelligence teams.
· Leverage understanding of mobile operating systems architecture (such as Android, iOS), including the security features and limitations of each platform.
· Leverage understanding of mobile application security, network protocols, and the potential exploitation vectors associated with mobile devices.
· Develop mitigation strategies for identified mobile threats, collaborating with development, security operations, and network teams.
· The Contractor shall stay informed about the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques targeting mobile devices.
· The Contractor shall analyze threat intelligence feeds to understand emerging mobile security risks.
· Mentor junior staff and ensure quality of technical support and contractual deliverables
This position is on-site with our customer in Washington, DC or Clarksburg, WV.
This position requires an active Top Secret clearance and the ability to successfully pass a polygraph and obtain SCI accesses.

Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education (degree strongly preferred)
- Experience: 8 years (minimum)
- Required Skills/Certs:
- Must have experience with Splunk Enterprise Security.
- Proficient understanding of threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) related to mobile threats, including the latest trends in mobile malware and exploits.
- Proficient understanding of forensics tools and methodologies used in mobile device analysis.
- Experience with cyber threat detection, analysis, and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel a strong plus.
- Familiarity with security frameworks specific to mobile device environments, such as the Mobile Security Framework (MobSF) and others.
- Experience with the Internet of Things (IoT) and its intersection with mobile security, including securing mobile interfaces with IoT devices.
- Preferred Certifications:
- GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI)
