Job Description
The DevOps Engineer will work with development teams to manage cyber risk and secure the Enterprise of Things. Responsibilities include supporting security products and platforms, providing guidelines and best practices for DevOps and Continuous Delivery, and offering Tier 2/3 support during maintenance. The role involves supporting a SaaS service, potentially requiring irregular hours and on-call support during North American business hours. Capacity planning and operational activities for key infrastructure services are also key duties. The company emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and a cyber-obsessed culture. This position requires a graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience in software engineering.
Must have:
- 4+ years of experience deploying complex systems
- 2+ years of experience with a major cloud vendor
- Advanced scripting (bash, python)
- Kubernetes and kubectl proficiency
- Experience with DevOps tooling (Docker, Jenkins, Helm, Terraform)
- Production workload experience (monitoring, capacity planning)
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with remote teams
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
Good to have:
- Web Development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Redis
- Azure/AWS experience or certifications

What You Will Do
- Work with the Development teams to design and support our security products and platforms.
- Provide guidelines and best practices for DevOps, Continuous Delivery, Automation and Softwaredelivery best practices within our development teams.
- Rolling out major changes and provide Tier 2/3 support during maintenance windows.
- Support a SaaS service which may require irregular work hours at times and on call support duringNorth American business hours. Document day-to-day activities in our ticketing system
- Perform capacity planning and operational activities as we grow for our key infrastructure services
This role will require you to work from our Pune office 3 days per week.
What You Will Bring To Forescout
- 4+ years of hands on experience with deploying and integrating complex systems with a variety ofoperating system environments
- 2+ years of experience with a leading cloud vendor (Azure ,Google Cloud Platform or AmazonAWS).
- Advanced scripting experience required (e.g. bash & python)
- Must be comfortable and capable with Kubernetes and kubectl to deploy, manage andtroubleshoot workloads.
- Familiarity with DevOps tooling for development and deployment (e.g. Docker, Jenkins, helm,terraform).
- In depth experience with running production workloads. (e.g. Monitoring, capacity planning, newservice deployments, pod debugging).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong skills working with remote teams in different timezones.
- Excellent and proven analytic and troubleshooting skills for problems that span multiple domains(applications, network, system)
- Education: Graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related degree and equivalent experience in software engineering
- Skills that would set you apart from other applicants: Web Development skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript along with Web libraries
- Experience with Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Redis and other data indexing and searchingapplications.
- Experience or certifications in Azure/ AWS.
