The Digital Strategy Lead at Google's Accelerated Growth Team (AGT) focuses on growing customer prospects within the Google Customer Solutions ecosystem. Responsibilities include managing a portfolio of businesses, understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities, and creating quarterly plans. The role demands driving customer growth by delivering exceptional customer sales experiences and achieving business/marketing objectives. This involves managing the full business cycle – from outreach and sales pitches to solution implementation and performance evaluation. Strong relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders in Japan is crucial, and the successful candidate will partner with internal account managers to accelerate business growth. Fluency in Japanese and English is mandatory. The role requires understanding diverse business needs and creating advertising strategies to reach thousands of users.

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in account management, sales, or marketing.
  • Experience developing and pitching solutions through various channels (e.g., over the telephone, email, in-person meetings) to prospective customers.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in Japanese and English to engage with external and internal local stakeholders in Japan.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in media across a variety of platforms (e.g., TV, Radio, Print, Sponsorship, etc.).
  • Experience managing multiple accounts simultaneously while paying attention to detail.
  • Experience in sales in a technology, advertising, media sales, or internet environment.
  • Experience with Google Ads and YouTube account management, managing advertising or media campaigns.
  • Ability to succeed in a changing environment, with excellent problem-solving, creative thinking skills.

As a Digital Strategy Lead within Accelerated Growth Team (AGT), you will identify and grow customer prospects within a segment of the Google Customer Solutions ecosystem, to set them up for growth on our platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of businesses by understanding growth drivers, identifying opportunities for growth, managing risks, and building quarterly plans for achievements.
  • Drive customer growth by delivering an outstanding customer sales experience and achieving customer business/marketing objectives.
  • Own the full cycle business process by driving customer outreach, sales pitches, solution implementation, and performance evaluation.
  • Engage, support, and build relationships with customers.
  • Partner with the internal Account Manager pod to pitch and accelerate business growth.
