About the Role & Program
Do you have a passion for music, Disney, and a keen interest in pursuing a career in the music business? Disney Music Group (DMG) is the music hub for The Walt Disney Company, encompassing all aspects of music commercialization and marketing: recorded music (Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records), Disney Music Publishing, and Disney Concerts. DMG distributes music both physically and digitally, and also licenses music throughout the world in various forms of media including television, print, gaming, and consumer products!
Our team is looking for an intern to support our Disney Branded Marketing team! This team is responsible for all music releases across the Walt Disney Company including but not limited to Disney Studios, Lucas, Marvel, Disney Channel, Disney Animation, Pixar, Disney Junior, Disney Parks and more. In addition this team also supports overall marketing for Disney Concerts, Disney Music Emporium and Disney Hits SXM channel.
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through August 2025.
What You Will Do
-Role will primarily be with the live action team working on overall department needs tied to the releases for Disney, Marvel, Lucas and Disney Branded Television.
-Support the marketing team overall with key responsibilities such as allowlisting.
-Help ideate with the Disney Hits SXM marketing team on different themes and curate hour playlists on air for the channel.
-Support Disney Music Emporium, the online destination for all things collectible and limited edition from the legendary Disney Music catalog.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Familiarity with Marketing, communications, branding and/or creative asset development.
Familiarity with music streaming service(s) such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music or similar program
Experience with using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word
High attention to detail and experience multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience (academic or internship) in related industry
Major or previous coursework in Marketing or related field
Education
Junior or Senior year preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Internship Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 through August 2025
Fully available to work 40 hours per week during a Monday through Friday schedule
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Burbank, California area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
